Link's P.O.V.

It's been a couple of days ever since the incident with the weapon and (Y/N) has been helping me with the weapon, but in all honesty, let's just say that it wasn't really working.

Every time I use that weapon, even though (Y/N) advised that I let my guard down to eventually get used to the dark magic, her plan still wasn't working. I didn't understand really. I needed to find Alevina so she could clarify the thoughts that had been running through my mind.

Third Person P.O.V.

The blonde male roamed the fields in the dark of the night. The twilight was slowly taking over the world of Hyrule and Link knew that he needed to act fast, but he knew that all this would be faster if he could just find the answers to his questions.

Link had left his wolf friend and Epona to do some discovering for himself.

Quickly transforming into his wolf form, he set off to head back to the Faron Woods, the first place he had ever met (Y/N). Dashing through the fields, he could only think of one name...(L/N).

He needed to find them...whoever they were. Because he knew that if he did, everything would finally be clear.

Finally reaching the woods, Link transformed back into his human form. The male dusted off the dirt from his tunic and roamed through the dark forest which was dimly lit by the several torches he would pass by.

Link held a serious face, his eyes examining the woods looking for anything that could help to understand (Y/N) more. He had realized that he really didn't know too much about her. He knew that the wolf would not answer his questions openly so he had no choice but to snoop around instead.

Link continued walking through the forest, the grass and bushes rustling against the force of the wind. The forest was quite eerie at this time of night, but that would not stop Link.

Link continued to roam until he realized he had ended up in a part of a forest he had never seen before. This area of the forest had a light aura to it. The torches here shone with a bluish light, the exact same color of (Y/N)'s coat. Link's eyes brightened as he noticed several momentos resembling the moon symbol at the crook of (Y/N)'s neck. How had he not seen this part of the forest before?

He suddenly stumbled upon an old and broken house-like building. It resembled the one the he had found the bugs in earlier in his journey the first time he came into the forest.

Link circled the structure looking for an entrance, but to his avail, he could not find one. Link's blue eyes scanned the wood paneled building realizing there really was no other way to actually enter inside. The building was intentionally built that way though. It was meant to keep others out.

Gliding his hands through his hair, Link sighed to himself.

"Is there really no way inside?" Link thought to himself. Link circled the building one last time to test his luck. He then noticed that an area of the dirt was a bit deeper than the rest of the area.

Link took a squatting stance to examine this. He realized that this was the entrance into the structure.

"Of course," Link thought in realization. This deeper area that he had a found, a hole actually, was the entrance...an entrance made for wolves.

He transformed into his wolf form, proceeding inside. He dug his way under until his eyes met a warm, blue light. Link was about to transform when his wolf senses caught onto a familiar scent, but unfortunately, at the time, he couldn't remember where he had smelled the scent of the forest with a mixture of mixed berries and sweet tree leaves.

Link transformed into his human form and observed his surroundings. The building was simply furnished, not too fancy. It was quite humble actually. But there was one specific object that caught the blonde's eye. The object shimmered beneath the very little amount of light that managed to seep through the darkness of the room. Link walked a bit closer to the object, admiring it in its glimmering glory.

Upon closer inspection, Link realized it was some sort of rectangular shaped object. He squinted his blue eyes to get a better look. He then realized it was a plaque of some sort. The object had a golden plate in the middle with a strong wooden foundation. The object was covered in a thick layer of dust but somehow remained to shine in the darkness.

With careful hands, knowing that the object had some precious value to it, Link picked the plaque up blowing away any dust that covered it. A few of the dust particles caused Link to cough. He averted his gaze back to the plaque. His eyes widened in disbelief and shock as his knees sank to the bottom of the floor. His hands trembled at the site of what was uncovered.

The shining golden plaque read, "(L/N)."

Link couldn't believe it. The area, the home, the forest, the plaque that was in his hands. (L/N) was a name that never left his memory and here it was now, right within his fingertips. Link was confused beyond question.

"There's no way this could possibly be (Y/N)'s. She is a wolf after all." Link tried convincing himself that all this wasn't happening. "It's only a coincidence...right?"

Was it really a coincidence? Link had stumbled into a forest, one that was lit as brightly and the same shade as (Y/N)'s wolf coat. Not to mention, the undeniably similar crescent moon momentos that lay around this mystical forest. A mere coincidence?

Link's P.O.V.

Was this all real? No. I can't be. Can it?

I decided to keep the plaque in a small leather bag I carried along with me just to be sure. I had to do more searching before confirming this discovery.

I transformed into my wolf form and ran back into the woods with many thoughts in mind. Was (Y/N) really a shape-shifter? Was she really truly a human all this time? The pieces were almost starting to come together...all except for one thing.

What was (Y/N)'s connection to Alevina? There was definitely some sort of connection between the two for them to have both known about the dark magic. These thoughts were all too much for my mind and it was making me dizzy.

After finally reaching the spot, I saw Epona and (Y/N) resting peacefully under the moonlight. My wolf paws circled the two as I examined them. My eyes focused on (Y/N) as she rose and fell slightly due to her light breathing, my wolf senses trying to pick up anything they could.

I found myself looking up at the moon. Was I really doubting (Y/N)? She had been a good friend this entire journey. Despite her being secretive, I'm sure she wouldn't hide a secret as great as that. I brought my wolf head back down, almost abruptly. But at the moment, I picked up a scent--the same scent I had smelled back at the woods. The scent on (Y/N) definitely matched that of the woods. There was no denying it. But I couldn't just jump to conclusions.

I needed more evidence and proof.
