The telepathic message with (Y/N) ended and Caeus was left worried. The fact that she had decided to lessen the days troubled him. He now had less days, and even less time, to retrieve the final two pieces of the full page of the spell.
He was fatigued. Trying to chase down the bulls was not easy, and trying to divert the attention of Link's troops already there was even more work. Of course, they knew Caeus's duty, but he needed to cover up the fact he was looking for the hidden piece.
Caeus never had a second of peace because the troops would always ask what tasks they should do in which Caeus would say, "Just watch over the bulls and prepare them for Link's return." Every so often, a bull would get loose and Caeus would have the duty of chasing them down as he was the only one who could handle them.
Luckily, during one of the chases, he saw the piece of the page he was searching for. By this point, Caeus had learned that a piece will glow once near its counterparts, thus making it easier for them to find. And Caeus saw this piece located deep within what seemed to be a canyon. Going there during broad daylight would surely grab attention, so Caeus knew that he would have to wait until before the crack of dawn. Thus, taking away from almost half of the three days left. By the time he would retrieve the last piece, it would be well into the second day so he had to be quick.
Caeus would have to leave right after he retrieved this piece so that he could catch (Y/N) in time before the battle with Link.
And so, he waited long hours until the fire had finally died out from all the fire pits and he was sure that all troops were fast asleep or too tired to even care what Caeus would be doing.
Caeus entered the canyon, and grabbed the missing piece quickly, placing it within his cloak and bringing himself back to the surface. Retrieving the piece was a quick task, but the wait was what ate up the time.
Now he had a day and a half. Caeus needed to find a way to leave the oasis to reach the area in the sky right away. He spotted a wandering Twili and entrusted his duties to him.
"You there," Caeus called out to him. The Twili saw and ran up to his superior with a salute. Caeus nodded to him and gave the Twili instructions. "I must leave the post for awhile so I will entrust everyone and everything to you. If Sir Link happens to call you guys back and I'm not here, please do so. If he questions as to where I went, please tell him that I went to check on the (L/N) family. Understood?"
"Yes, sir," the Twili man responded and jolted off to watch over the others as to not disappoint their ruler's trusted visor.
Caeus transported himself out of the location and into the main fields of Hyrule when he realized that he didn't exactly know where this place in the sky was. He shuffled through his memory trying to think of anything he could associate it with.
He was about to be put at a loss when he remembered (Y/N)'s parents. They were very well knowledgeable, and probably more than he was. Maybe during their times as magic holders did they travel to such a place. He telepathically contacted the father who answered right away.
"Caeus, what can I do for you? You almost never contact me," the older man chuckled through the wave lengths.
Caeus returned the laugh and responded quickly being as he did not have much time. "I'm about to collect the last piece of the page, Mister (L/N), but I have some trouble. It's located in the sky and I was hoping you'd know where exactly this place was."
A silence followed after his statement. (Y/N)'s father thought to himself and tried to remember the visual of the sky shown through his wife's eyes at the campfire just a few days ago.
