In a World of Twilight (Link x Reader)

(Y/N)'s P.O.V.

She slowly came to her senses as she grabbed her aching head. Her eyes slowly fluttered open as if trying to adjust to the scenery, and her eyes then traveled to mine.

And she was suddenly awake.

And beyond furious.

But who could blame the poor girl?

After all, I was the one who took the shadows and ran off with them. I basically lured her and Link to Zant hoping to save my parents, but at the cost of another. I had lost Link to the shadows and I needed to get him back to his normal self.

"You!!!" Midna almost screamed out my name. Her voice was full of venom and hatred. She attempted to fly and attack me, but she was still far too weak from the injury.

My mother patted her down gently as all Midna could do was glare utter hatred at me.

"I almost had them!" she yelled, "I could've saved my kingdom. But, you just had to turn your back on us." She used her hair to attempt and smack me, but alas, was unsuccessful. "To think we even helped you."

I remained quiet. I knew my place at the moment. I wouldn't speak back. That would be the worst thing to do. My only hope was that she would calm down so we could work together to take down the new Link.

"I'm sorry," I mumbled. I was probably going to light an even bigger fire, but I knew after that, the fire would burn down just slightly because of my apology.

So much for keeping my mouth shut.

"Sorry? Sorry? You think a simple apology is enough for all the trouble you caused? That's pretty pathetic, (Y/N)."

I kept my eyes to the ground. There really was nothing to do at the moment.

Unknowingly, I transformed into a wolf and ran into the deeper parts of the Sacred Grove.

Wow, thanks, body, for going against my thoughts yet again.

"(Y/N)!" my parents called out to me.

"You better run. And don't come back until you've got some sense in you," Midna hissed.

I was such a bad person. What did I ever do in life to deserve this? I was a good person and so were my parents. Why were we driven out just because we were different?

If anyone deserves punishment, it's those damned people back at Castle Town. Those ignorant peasants thought we would hurt them. They thought we were demon spawn. They despised us just because we knew dark magic.

My mind started to cloud and the only thing I could think about was getting revenge on those imbeciles who put my family onto this path of life.

Something needed to be done. They needed to pay the price for what they had done to us.

What would they pay with?

Their lives, of course.

They ruined my family's so it's only right I return the favor.

It was currently the afternoon as I ran through the fields before reaching Castle Town.

My timing was perfect.

The main area would be bustling with people around this time. Everyone was out. And everyone deserved to pay the price.

With Link as their future ruler, he was going to ruin their life anyway. So why not help him and ruin their lives much sooner so they would be used to it?
