Caeus' P.O.V

I was never asked about the tiny velvet bag I gave to Link, but when I spoke to him to ask where else we would attack, he seemed normal. Perhaps, he hadn't opened the little bag yet or perhaps the little bag didn't have much of an effect. Whatever the case was, I was hoping on the first option.

After sending the creatures off to their assigned areas, I decided to drop by the Sacred Grove. It was in the early hours of the morning, about the time most people would be in bed, relaxing for the next day. It's really a shame that not all of us could be so relaxed. Link found it a perfect time to launch attacks because people were unaware.

And I had a small ounce of hope that perhaps one of (Y/N)'s parents would be awake at this time.

When I entered the grove, I knew one person for certain was awake and that was Skull Kid. He giggled and sent down his reign of puppets and I honestly didn't mind. He was already familiar with my face, but he needed a playmate and I was the one he sent his puppets upon.

It wasn't difficult really. It only took a few hits before the puppets disappeared only to be spawned again. But, they left me alone as soon as I neared the falls where the group was staying and Skull Kid always concluded with, "That was fun! Let's play again next time!"

I only chuckled.

At least someone was still happy in all this conundrum.

The dimness of the forest was lit by a small campfire that rustled. Its embers and sparks crackled in the open air and the normally cool falls were slightly warmer. I heard the movement of firewood which indicated that at least someone here was awake at the time. But when I approached the small campfire, I saw only two figures. The other two were not in sight. They possibly could be sleeping. But other than that, this was perfect. The two figures where exactly who I had been wanting to speak with.

(Y/N)'s parents.

I approached quietly as to not disturb the other two who were presumably sleeping. (Y/N), with her intensified hearing, could wake up to almost the quietest of creaks and though Midna wouldn't probably wake, (Y/N) would have most likely done the action of waking her up because of the ruckus she would create.

"I had a feeling you'd come back soon," the father spoke. He must have heard my footsteps, as expected from a former wolf. "Are you here to ask about the pages?"

It were as if he could read my mind. Or maybe it was because he still managed to have his wolf powers. But there was the last possibility he was able to do so because of his skills with dark magic.

"Yes, Mister (L/N)."

His wife turned around and greeted me with a warm smile; her eyes seemed a bit wary though. (Y/N)'s mother was one of those people who could easily hide her true emotions behind a picture perfect smile, but if one were very keen with their senses, they would be able to see her true feelings through her eyes.

"Please, take a seat." She motioned to a log on the opposite side of the fire, across from them. The water fell down and splashed against its lower counterpart and the embers cracked. This was the perfect setting for a serious talk.

"Miss (L/N) and Mister (L/N)," I greeted as I took my seat. I looked around looking for any sort of presence of the other two females. "Excuse me for asking, but where are (Y/N) and Midna? Are they out in another area of the forest?"

"Well, Caeus, they actually left about an hour ago. They are currently trying to stop the creatures you sent upon your new target area. No hard feelings or anything, Caeus. But the two got rather bored and decided to treat Link's creatures as targets for target practice," he laughed a bit, "I'm joking though. They're actually just trying to save as much of Hyrule as they can."
