You were nervous. Your heart was beating in your chest and your entire skin was tingling. Although you had prepared a whole speech, it felt like you were completely lost for words right now. Just like your hunger had disappeared as soon as Allison had smiled when she had seen the picnic basket.
She was holding a glass filled with soda and she was staring at the small treats you had made her. She had said over and over that she couldn't pick one and you had told her that she could have them all.
You still couldn't believe that you had had the guts to ask her out. She was so pretty and smart and strong. You had simply not though that she would like someone like you. But as soon as you had asked her, she had said yes. And now you were doubting how you were going to ask her to be your girlfriend.
"You made the most amazing things I've ever tasted." Allison moved a little towards you and she pecked your cheek. "But you really can't let me eat all of these. I'll end up sick!" She smiled and without thinking about it you leaned in and pressed a soft kiss on her lips.
For a moment you stared at her. You were certain that you had ruined a perfect moment, a lovely afternoon, but then she wrapped her arms around your neck and kissed you back. You smiled. You smiled and you closed your eyes. Your hands went through her hair and you enjoyed being this close to her. You grinned when you realized that you probably didn't need to worry about asking her to be your girlfriend anymore. You were almost sure that she would say yes.
