Part two of my last Daniel x Reader. Requested by @rilaylashipit (:

It had been a couple of weeks since the Halloween school-based dance. Your friends were talking about the night non-stop since then and bring it up in conversation every now and then. They had asked you about the boy in the shower costume, but you'd just reply with a smile and say that he helped in keeping you hidden from your ex. Luckily too, your ex hasn't bothered to try and talk to you since the dance. He must finally realise how you feel. Either that or the egg that hit him in the head gave him some sense.

But you haven't seen Daniel around school at all. Well, that's not entirely true. Sometimes you'd see the top of his head in the canteen or see him running around the school oval during physical education class, but besides that the two of you rarely saw each other. You suppose it doesn't matter really, but you'd like to talk to him again. It's weird that a stranger in a shower could give you butterflies. Wait, that doesn't sound right.

"(Y/l/n) and Larusso." Says your teacher from the front of the class.

He was calling out the names of all the lab partners for the semester and so now you've been paired up with some "Larusso" kid. Someone from the back of the class raises their hand and the teacher calls on them.

"Daniel barely shows up to science." They say.

Your head instantly turns around to face them. Daniel? Shower-costume-cutie Daniel from the dance? You didn't know he was in your class! How long has he been there, maybe a few chairs behind you, and you've never noticed? But now this kid is saying that he never even shows up to class. That's why you've never seen him.

"Well then, (Y/n). I'll have to assign you a new partner." Says the teacher.

Fantastic. Is there even anyone left to partner up with?

"Let's see," your teacher says as he gazes down the list of student's names, "I don't believe he's here today but you can partner up with Lucas."

No. NO. Don't you DARE. Lucas?? Does your teacher even realise that he's partnered you up with your EX-BOYFRIEND?! This has got to be a nightmare.

"Um," You say, raising your hand and getting your teacher's attention, "I can't be partners with him."

"And why not?" Your teacher asks.

"Because. I don't like him."

Some of the students in the class chuckle.

"It's either Lucas or working alone, which will not work because you need to have a partner to pass this class." Your teacher says.

"But what about Daniel?" You ask.

"Daniel doesn't care much for science, I've heard." He looks back at the person who mentioned it before, "You'll have to make do, (Y/n). Now please set up your station."

The teacher turns around and starts writing on the blackboard which means that the conversation is over. Great. Now you have to work with your ex-boyfriend who, finally, was not talking to you like you've always wanted. Guess that's going to change since you two are lab partners. 

This blows.

"Daniel Larusso? I've heard of him, but no. I don't really know him." 

You sigh and thank the person you randomly stopped in the school hallway. Ever since your teacher made you partner up with your ex, you know that the only way out of it is to get Daniel to show up to class and be your partner instead. You had asked the teacher that if Daniel did rock up to science then he could be your partner and your teacher agreed. But he had no real belief that he was actually going to show.
