"Mother?"

"Yes dear?"

"Prince Johnathan has asked me out on another date. I was wondering if we could go walk around the kingdom? Maybe find some more people to take care of?"

"Sure hon! be safe.  When is this date going to take place?"

"Tomorrow."

"Ok darling."

With that I walked out of my mothers office and began to walk towards my bedroom only to be stopped by a guard. My eyes were wandering while looking for her name tag.

"Excuse me Your Highness, we have found another homeless girl."

At this moment I didn't really care for her name I just wanted to look after this homeless girl.  You see since I will become queen mother has made me make so decisions. One of which was to help the homeless. I send guards out every week to look for more people to take care of. We don't find many people, maybe one to two a week. I still was excited I could help this girl.

"Lead me to her please"

-----------------------------------------------

When I walked into the infirmary I saw probably the most beautiful girl I have ever laid my eyes on. She had a dark completion with bright green eyes. She had dark brown hair and was wearing a green rain coat. She sat crouched in the corner probably scared of all her surroundings. If I had just been picked up off the streets and was placed into a palace, I would too be scared.

I walked up to her and crouched down next to her not really caring about my dress at the moment. I placed my hand on her knee and she looked up at me. I gave her a real smile, most of the time I fake a smile because of my name. I am princess Allison Rose Pendleton. I must look good for my people. But what was I doing? I almost never have a real smile. What is this girl doing to me?

I watched her as she stared into my eyes. I looked straight into her bright green eyes and could see all the pain she has gone though. Once she looked back down towards her scraped knees, I picked up her hand and helped her stand up. I turned around and started walking towards the exit when I was stopped in my tracks by none other than prince Johnathan. He was wearing the same smirk he always has had.

"Hey baby..." He looked me in the eye and winked. " I cant wait any longer for out date tomorrow." He said this raising his eyebrows. " I was wondering if we could do it right now instead of tomorrow since I know you cant wait either."

"Sorry John." I wasn't sorry at all I hate him so much. I hate all the dates I go on. All the princes I go out with don't last longer than two dates. " I'm a bit busy with my friend here." I said this gesturing my hand towards her.

" Ah hon I'm sure she can wait."

"First of all don't call me hon . Secondly she cant wait. However you can. Oh yeah and third. Dates off for tomorrow I cant stand how rude you are to my best friend."

"If she is your best friend. Whats her name." Johnathan stated with a smug look on his face.  I started to panic I just met her today not even ten minutes ago. Luckily she thought faster than me. She reached her arm around my shoulder. I was wearing a sleeveless dress so my shoulders were bare. She reached around and started to trace letters into my shoulder. Her warm finger making contact with my skin made me shudder.I quickly paid attention to her finger.   She started to trace the letters S-A-G-E.

" Her name is Sage."

" And whens her birthday?"

"Its not important. you're just trying to spend more time with me"

" So you don't know her birthday?"

"Now I never said that."

"You implied it."

By this time she was already tracing her fingers along my shoulder. Good thing I could pay attention to her and talk at the same time or else there would be a long silent moment. I turned away from Johnathan and started walking towards the door holding Sages hand in mine. I walked out the door ignoring Johnathan. I ran straight up to my bedroom dragging Sage along. Then I remembered I have to explain to her about why she was here and all the other stuff. Right now all I was focused on was getting us away from him.
