Could it be?

I rushed up to my room, wanting to get Sage and I away from that crazy lunatic. 

Once I made my way into my room I let go of her hand and started to panic. Until Sage came up to me with a smile plastered on her face.  She looked me in the eye and I seemed to get lost in hers. The bright green like laying on the forest floor surrounded by the wonderful noise of nature. The sunlight shining through the leaves hanging on the branches of tall trees. Once I realized I had been looking at her for quite some time I pulled away blushing slightly. 

"Hey thanks for saving me out there. Also for saving yourself. I can see that he really gets on your nerves huh?"

I was amazed by how beautiful her voice sounded, sure it was the first time I've met her but.... Could it be? Is love at first sight a true thing? She had a slight southern accent. I had barely heard one before and I had always wished I had one. It just sounded so amazing to me. 

"Oh yeah uh it was n-no problem. He does get on my nerves." It was at this point I had decided that I would tell her the truth. I just felt like she was a safe person and I could trust her with anything. "Truth is, I never liked dating any of them. I don't know why but every guy I go out with tries to, uh well, tries to...." I was struggling with my words " Lets just say they all try to get me in bed with them" I felt so embarrassed for saying that. Sage will now make fun of me. 

"I see why. You're beautiful!" I looked up and stared at her. She called me beautiful. My heart was doing back flips. Why do I feel this way I only met her today I all I know about her is her name and birthday. " Oh uh I- Uh I mean..  Oh forget it!  I think your are a very thoughtful person to help my and bring me into your home. Yes I do find you beautiful and I feel very bad for you that you are being forced into this. If you would let me have a say in this, I would confront my mother and tell her how I feel."

"Y-you really think that I'm beautiful?"

"Of course I do! I mean your hair lying on your shoulders frames you so perfectly. Your eyes are the color of an ocean. And your dress.... Oh wow it definitely fit you perfectly I could stare at you all day."

I watched her as she raised her hand and slapped it over her mouth, realizing what she had just said. I couldn't help but giggle.

"Hey Sage?"

"Mhmm?"

"I think I know why none of those date with the princes worked out."
