Diamond In The Rough(Steven Universe various X Gem!Reader)

I looked at the donut in front of me, inspecting it. From what my Master had said, it was a (f/flv) one. I looked at Master and Amethyst, a hopeful look on their faces.

I lifted the donut, up to my lips, and took a bite out of it, the flavor engulfing my mouth. I chewed, then swallowed, the strange sensation of eating oddly satisfying. I enjoyed it, but would not eat so often like Amethyst would.

"So, how was it?" Master asked. I looked at him and nodded. "It was... strange, but I oddly enjoy the sensation of eating," I said. Master and Amethyst appeared to punch each other's fist. I tilted my head at this motion, but stopped as soon as the door opened.

I turned to see a girl with dark skin and hair, a sword with a pink scabbard strapped to her back.

"Steven!" she called out, smiling. Master looked back at her and jumped up, a grin spread on his face. "Connie!"

This must be his friend, I thought. Pearl walked in, smiling at Connie.

"Oh, Connie! Nice to see you. I thought you'd be with your relatives for a while longer," Pearl said. "Oh, that was the plan, but our plane was gonna leave earlier than originally planned, so we're back here! And my Mom said I could spend the next few nights here with you guys."

"That's awesome!"

"Yeah! Anyways, who's the new Gem?"

Master looked at me and motioned me closer.

"Y/n, this is Connie, my friend. Connie, this is Y/n, my... er... how do you want me to refer to you as?" Master asked. "Our relationship is that of master and servant, Master. I am your servant," I replied. Connie reacted with a surprised expression.

"So... Slavery?"

"No, no! Not slavery! See, I grew her from a gem shard, and she 'registered' me as her Master, but I don't really care about that, we have a friendly relationship, isn't that right, Y/n?"

"Yes, Master."

I sipped the water I held in my hands, looking out of the window at the clouds illuminated by the moonlight. Images flashed into my head, of a yellow gem and a blue gem, both of which are at a larger scale than me at the moment. I gripped my head in my free hand, in pain, and I gulped down the last of the water, then returned the glass to the sink.

I heard the warp pad activate, and saw Pearl on there. I raised my finger to my lips in a shushing motion, pointing to Master and Connie. She let out a sharp breath, and walked over to me, grabbing my arm and dragging me outside.

"What is it?" I asked. "What are you planning? Why are you here, for the most part?" she hissed. "I'm not planning anything, and I am here because Master--"

"Don't give me that! I want to know why you even care about Steven! His mother shattered you! You should be holding a grudge against him like all of the other homeworld gems! You're not even needed or wanted here!"

I felt something in my being break, that break hurting, and my chest tightening in pain. Some more sort of liquid began to leak out of my eyes, rolling down my cheeks. I was crying, a natural human response to sadness. I was... I was sad.

"...I am not needed, nor wanted...?" I murmured. I looked at Pearl's face, disdain visible on her face. "Thank you for clarifying, Pearl," I said, barely above a whisper, "and the reason  I am here is because Master restored me to my current state, and I'm here with the Crystal Gems still because I do not remember anything from before I was shattered... I am lost, Pearl! I cannot remember anything from the Great Gem War! And even so, you cannot bring yourself to trust me, even though the others do!"
