Oof, wow... It's been a long time, hasn't it? Anyways, I'm sorry, I've been just struggling with inspiration and all that junk. I've also been trying to make a new relationship work since September, but with it being a long-distance thing, it didn't really work out in the end, I attempted the "s" word, and I've been depressed and stuff... Anyways, I have had to take a bit of time to sort of revise my plot due to the recent episode, A Single Pale Rose. And without further ado, here's the chapter we've all been waiting for! Here you all go!

People were disappearing. Master told me. He couldn't find Lars, or Sadie, or Onion today. Master also said he came across a new gem who asked him, "are you my dad?"
"She said that, really?!" I exclaimed. Master nodded. "Did she.. Did she have blue skin and short hair? And was there teardrop-shaped gem under her eye?" I prodded. "Yeah, yeah! Why, another memory?!" he asked, excited, and the other gems and Connie seemed excited, too.
"Uhh, no.."
"Aww......."
"But I know her. When I was getting eggs for Lars the other day, she approached me and asked the same thing...."After that, the next thing I knew were the gems and Connie drawing pictures that were strikingly accurate to the gem I saw previously.
"They all look great, but Connie's is more accurate in my opinion," Master said. I nodded, looking at the drawing Connie presented.
Then the next thing I knew, I was with Pearl, helping her clean up the place. I swept around Master's bed and cleaned up a few stray comic books he had left laying around, but the tension between me and Pearl was quite uncomfortable...
"Y/n.... I'm sorry, again..."
I looked over at Pearl, raising a brow in confusion.
"You're sorry? About what?" I asked. She looked at me, then away, "I'm sorry for snapping at you. I know it was a while ago, a long while ago, but... I can't help but feel like I owe you more than an apology, especially since...." she stopped, clasping a hand over her mouth. I approached her, laying a hand on her shoulder.
"Pearl. It's in the past. It's okay. If I resented you any more than what happened to me when I lost control, we wouldn't be having this conversation. I already forgave you," I removed my hand from her shoulder, "Pearl, let's just try to get along now, okay?"
Pearl sighed and nodded, a ghost of a smile gracing her lips. She walked over to the temple door and activated her gem, entering her room, but not before looking shoulder at me as the door closed.
I went to get a cup of water, stopping before a single drop fell to the bottom of the cup. Something felt weird, like something wasn't right. It just sat in me like an ice cold rock in a pool of white hot lava. I shook it off and poured the water, taking small sips.
I felt something sharp pierce my head, not material, but as if something was stabbing my head from inside. I suddenly felt lightheaded, woozy. I put the cup down shakily, grabbing my head, feeling everything blank out.
I watched as the waves crashed upon the rocks, the large group of gems gathered behind me murmuring in discordant harmony. The pink pearl at my side tried to calm down the hubbub that was happening, but gave up after her many failed attempts. I let out a sigh, tracing along the gem on my abdomen. My pearl took notice and voiced her concern.
