Diamond In The Rough(Steven Universe various X Gem!Reader)

"I know my mom did something bad. Whatever Homeworld has in store for me... I'm ready!" I said. All that the room had as a response for me was silence.

"I said, I'm ready! It's me, Rose Quartz! Hello? Anybody? Y/N? Lars? You there? Is this the punishment? Come on! I know it's going to be worse than this! So whatever you're going to do...would you just do it already?" I sighed as I sank to the floor.

I heard something open, and trailed my eyes to the location of where it came from, a blue gem walking in, panels floating around her and on her fingers, pacing nervously.

"This is ridiculous! Four thousand years of loyal service to the court, and this is what I get? Oh, I'm the unluckiest Zircon in the galaxy!" she exclaimed, her eyes landing on me. She looked around, then back at me and gasped.

"Wait, are you... Rose Quartz?"

"Yeah."

".....really?"

"It's a... Long story..."

"Then I don't have time for it! Ugh! We only have this brief moment to prepare your case.." she said, looking back at the holographic panels hovering around her. "Case?" I asked, looking at one of the panels.

"Ugh! Who am I kidding? This is pointless! We've all heard the rumors about the demise of Pink Diamond, but I can't believe these files!" she shouted, scrolling through her files, "Shattered by one of her own soldiers–ha! In front of her entire entourage!" she then turned to me, "And look at you now! That ridiculous disguise is only going to make you look more guilty!"

"That's fine, because I am!" I said, causing her to gasp. "Well, don't say that! Especially when you're out there!" she shrieked. "Out where?! What's going to happen?!" I asked. "What did you think was going to happen, Rose Quartz?! As soon as that door opens, you're going on trial!!" she shouted, and as if in cue, the door opened.

We nervously turned to the door, and all I could let out was an "oh."

All of a sudden, I was standing in the middle of a strange triangle-shaped platform as the blue gem I now knew as Zircon pressed a few buttons on her panels. A yellow gem, which I saw was also a Zircon, warped in and smirked at the Zircon that would be my defence.

"Defending a rebel? Isn't that... treason?" she chuckled. "I was assigned to this!" Defence Zircon shouted.

Two lights shone in the room, warping in two pearls, one blue and one yellow.

"All rise for the luminous Yellow Diamond!" Yellow Pearl posed. "And the lustrous Blue Diamond," Blue Pearl bowed. A light shone behind the Pearls, in warping Yellow and Blue Diamond. Blue Diamond straightened up, looking around the room.

"Where is the accused?" she asked. Yellow looked down at me and scoffed. "Is that Rose Quartz? Look at this hideous form she's taken. Forget the trial. We should shatter her just for looking like that!" she said. Blue Diamond looked at Yellow and squinted before looking at me. "No. I want to hear her make her case. I want to know what she thinks we're going to do with her. Because I want to do something worse," she said, glaring. I gulped. "Fine," Yellow said, flashing her hand. A pair of thrones appeared, and both Diamonds seated themselves, "Let's just get on with it, shall we?"

Blue and Yellow Pearl began recording the case, and the prosecuting Zircon stepped forward.

"My Diamond. My brilliant, opulent, radiant, glimmering–"

"'My Diamond' will suffice, or we'll never get through this," Yellow said, cutting off the Yellow Zircon.

"Of course, My Diamond," Zircon said, clearing her throat, "Rose Quartz committed a crime so unprecedented that one can't help but wonder, 'Why'? Exhibit A," she said, snapping her fingers, and in warped Lars.
