Diamond In The Rough(Steven Universe various X Gem!Reader)

I sat on the couch, in the temple-house. It's been three days since I've returned from Homeworld with Ste–Master. I watched as Pearl moved around the kitchen with such grace, preparing a meal for Master.

I looked at Pearl as she tended to Rose. I watched as she smiled, laughed with Rose, cared for Rose. I felt something clench in my chest, then stop, as if nothing was there after all. It felt empty.

I looked down at my knees, standing, then stepping out of the moon base, waving at my counterpart and Pearl.

My Pink Pearl followed, and I looked at Earth from my place on the moon.

"I want to see what it's like there, Pearl. I really do. But..." I looked back, "I wish... That Pink would let me..."

Pearl sighed, then smiled.

"We will. And once everything is over, we shall live on Earth. My Diamond, your other half will allow you on Earth soon enough, do not worry."

I saw everything around me shift, and I saw myself on the big battlefield again, but this time, no one was around. I saw Pearl, my Pearl.

"Hey, Pearl!" I called out to her, but when she turned, I saw a crack on her gem, a similar one on her corporeal body from her left collarbone, down to her right hip. All of a sudden, her form started to change, into a monstrous wolf-like creature, five heads howling in unison, many eyes on its body, including its joints and paws.
