You rested a hand on your chin as you watched Sam swing a pencil across his sketchbook."How the heck?" you murmured. He chuckled. He was sketching an immaculate image of Toothless from How to Train Your Dragon.
"Practice and patience," he replied. You shrugged and picked up your cup of coffee, taking one more sip before you threw it away.
"I have time for neither," you folded your hands over your chest.
"You want to go to the movie now?" Sam looked up and grinned at you. You blushed slightly, but nodded firmly.
He sighed, shoving his sketchbook and pencils into his bag, standing up and swinging the strap over his shoulder. You grinned.
"Let me get this straight," you said as you walked out. "You want to see Cars 2 and I want to see X-Men First Class? Seems kinda backwards."
Sam shrugged. "Kids movies are so much better than adult movies, let's be honest here."
"True, but... X-Men."
Sam chuckled. "If that's what you want."
You bounced on your heels. "Thanks, Sammy!"
He chuckled, almost blushed - you couldn't tell.
After about five minutes, you were both sat in the movie theater, munching on Malteaser's and popcorn. The movie was about to start.
"You didn't have to pay for me, I have money," you grinned.
"But I want to," he grinned back. We blushed.
The movie was good. It was a bit far fetched, but it wasn't terrible.
Afterwards, Sam walked you back to your flat, and after you said your goodbyes, you sat on your bed and sighed.
Good things really did come from bad.
