"Sorry!" Josh giggled like a kid as he knocked Tyler's red piece off the board. Tyler huffed, picking it up and placing back on the home spot.

"You always win at Sorry," he grumbled, his face in a cute little pout.

"You won once," Josh shrugged, trying to help. Tyler rolled his eyes.

"Once. Like, two years ago."

"Your coffee is ready!" exclaimed the perky barista, who handed us a tray with five cups on it. You snatched yours up hastily, diving right in and practically chugging it down.

"Dude!" Justice laughed. "Slow down, don't you want to enjoy it?"

You stopped for a second to look at her. "This isn't for the taste. This is for the caffeine."

Everybody laughed. You cocked an eyebrow. You didn't get how it was funny. This just made them laugh even more.

"Hey, are you guys coming to the show tonight?" Tyler asked enthusiastically. "It's in The Basement."

"Duh," Justice scoffed.

"Actually," Sam began shyly. "[y/n] and I were going to go out tonight."

"Oh." Tyler's face fell. Justice narrowed her eyes.

"I'm sorry, man. Maybe next week?" Sam suggested. Tyler nodded, looking down and moving his straw around. You felt guilty. Tyler was your friend. But Sam had asked you first, so he was your commitment.

After the five of you finished your game of Sorry, each went their separate ways. Justice had a hair appointment and Tyler and Josh had to get ready for the show. That left Sam and you alone in the coffee shop.

He amazed you. He was incredibly funny, his puns were awful and his jokes made you laugh until your stomach hurt. He was intelligent, somehow understanding all the geeky quirks you had.

You began to think it was a match made in heaven.
