"[y/n]!" I called.

She whipped around, her hand embraced tightly in Sam's. Her face broke out in a smirk. "Tyler."

Sam turned to look at me, and his mouth was curled up in a smile, but his eyes were cold... almost angry.

I shook my head. I was trying to turn nothing into something, I was trying to blame Sam for something to make him seem like a bad person.

"You know, Regional At Best was released today," I grinned sheepishly. "Have you heard it yet?"

Her eyes widened and she gasped. "Oh, my gosh! I'm so sorry, Tyler, I completely forgot about that. I'll listen to it, I promise."

I shook my head, smiling. "Don't worry about it. It's not like it's a Fall Out Boy album or anything."

She grinned. "Of course I'll listen to it."

Sam nudged her. "We should probably get going now."

"Where you off to?" I asked.

"We're going bowling," he replied, without so much as a glance in my direction. He walked forward, and [y/n] was nearly forced to follow him, and their hands were still firmly intertwined.

I stared hopelessly after them.

I barely ever got to spend time with [y/n] now. And Sam had been acting more and more hostile to me and Josh and Justice.

No, no, Tyler, I chided myself. Don't blame Sam for anything, you're just envious that [y/n] likes him.
