"My Diamond, are you feeling well? Shall we return to homeworld for now? It would be much safer there than here, without the rebellion out to shatter you," my Pearl said. I shook my head, looking down at her.

"No, my Pearl. It shall be fine, I just... Have a lot on my mind, you see," I said softly, smiling at her. I continued to trace along and around my gem, gazing back at the crashing waves of Earth. "Besides, I find solace in watching the natural phenomena here. It is quite refreshing. A shame we will have to turn this planet to absolute ruin. Yes, quite the pity indeed..."

The sounds of a quarrel sounded behind us. I looked behind me, watching as a rebellious bismuth attempted to take down my gems, shattering a couple and poofing five others before being shattered by one of my topazes.

I frowned, picking up the shattered remains of my soldiers, a couple of tears falling from my eyes.

"Pity... They were such wonderful friends of mine, as well..." I choked out, looking at the rest of my soldiers. "As your diamond, I shall wish for your protection, my dear friends," I said, smiling reassuringly. I picked up the poofed gems, placing them in my palanquin, humming a tune. I smiled softly. Yet, I knew that there was something else wrong...

"I will not let anything happen to you, my gems..." I whispered, looking at Pearl.

I felt myself snap back to reality, hunched over the island counter and staring into the glass of water I had gotten not too long earlier. I sighed. The memories were coming back, but they were kind of intense... Maybe it was best I didn't recover these memories, but with them, I felt more emotion, and in turn more human. But... Pearl was there, yet she was a part of the rebellion. She had no business being near me, yet she was, as if she were my pearl...

Shaking my head, I finished the rest of my water, then departed from the house, wandering around Beach City. The cool evening air embraced me gently, and the stars twinkled brightly above the city.

I found a secluded spot on the boardwalk, extending out to a pier. I stared out at the water, shifting my gaze from the water to the horizon line, then to the sky.

I touched my gem, drawing my sword and examining it. I felt something else in my gem that wasn't another one of my swords, yet no matter how hard I tried to draw it, nothing came out. I decided to stop, sighing. I returned my sword to my gem, standing up, but was struck with another wave of dizziness.

I stumbled a bit before falling into the water, sinking as another memory flashed across my eyes.

I looked in the reflection of the water, my pink fluffy hair sticking up in different directions, the Rose Quartz behind me smiling gently.

"So, this is it, isn't it? We've rallied up the troops. My small army of crystal gems are yours now, my Diamond. I wish you luck in commanding the rebellion against Homeworld," she said. I nodded and looked at her.

"I'm so sorry for having to do this. I hope  you'll forgive me. But I love this planet, Rose. I can't let it get colonized," I said. She smiled and nodded. "I understand. Now, shatter me, my Diamond. My work here is done," she said. I nodded and drew my sword, driving it through her gem in an instant. She smiled at me before her form cracked and shattered along with her gem. I smiled at her, sheathing my sword.

"Thank you, Rose Quartz."

I opened my eyes, on the ocean floor. I swam up, mind racing. I shattered a Rose Quartz, she made the rebellion against Homeworld and me for me to control... What weird plot was I brewing? What was I doing?

I dried myself off and went into the temple, going to the counter where my phone was blowing up. I picked up my phone to see an incoming call from Master. I answered the call, to have Master yelling in my ear.

"Y/N!! Hurry, come the forest! I found where the others were disappearing to! They have Connie!" he yelled, panicked. I hung up and ran out, blanking my mind out in my search for my Master.
