Magic Can't Hide Everything

Chapter 1:
—Raven's POV—
"So, what do ya wanna do?" Beast Boy asked.

Right now, Beast Boy and I were on the couch playing some video games. I know. It sounds a bit weird: Raven is playing video games instead of reading in her room. Well, then again...I'm not exactly Raven.

Okay, that sounded a bit weird. So let me clear things up. I am Raven in the inside, but on the outside, I look exactly like Terra. All in all, I am disguising myself as Terra.

Why? Well...

—Flashback to when Terra forgets everything —

I still remember how Beast Boy felt when Terra forgot everything. He was still smiling on the outside, but the whole team and I could tell he was sad.

I still remember when I was walking to the kitchen to get myself a cup of tea at midnight in hopes that it would help me sleep better. I walked past Beast Boy's room on the way, then I abruptly paused.

Right outside of his door, I ignored the voice in my head that was calling me a stalker. I heard sniffles and muttering in his room. "Why...why did you forget, Terra?" He whimpered in his sleep.

I felt this tugging in my heart that I couldn't explain. I imagined for a moment that what if...I used my magic to look like Terra. I would act like her, smile like her, joke like her....

I shook my head. It's a lot of trouble. It's best to just let Beast Boy heal, no matter how long it takes.

"Terra, wait....don't go..." I heard Beast Boy mutter again.

I winced from the sudden pain in my chest. I then forced myself to walk to the kitchen, unable to handle it anymore. There I got my no longer desired cup of tea, and thought long and hard of whether I should disguise myself.

When I remember Beast Boy's pain...my decision was final. I will disguise myself as Terra. Just to see him smile.

The next morning I took my time getting ready. I suppose it would look suspicious if "Terra"  appeared but I disappeared.

So I used my magic to create a clone of myself. No one could tell the difference. I decided that it would be easier to make a clone of myself since I don't talk much. Acting as Terra on the other hand...

I sighed. This was going to be hard. Not only does she naturally smile, she also jokes a lot and does a lot of things I don't even bother to try.

I'll just have to go with the flow. The plan is to have the clone of myself go to the kitchen first, do my usual morning stuff like getting tea, and then "Terra" (A.K.A. me in disguise) will appear at the Titan's front door.

"Terra" will say that her memories were recovered, apologize for siding with Slade, ask for forgiveness, and hopefully move back in.

I guess it was a rushed plan, but I couldn't seem to think of anything else. I stared at my mirror. "Azarath Mentrion Zinthos!"

I watched as my body got a bit shorter and my bones rearranging to match Terra's. My hair grew longer and turned blond. The cloak and leotard that I wore magically transformed into Terra's usual outfit. The process was a bit painful, seeing how my bones were breaking and fixing themselves. The spell was complete when the dark magic's light around me stopped. It left a final touch: my dark purple eyes fading to a light baby blue.

I was ready. I hope this'll make you happy, Beast Boy.
