Cyborg put on some kind of pop song. Starfire dragged Robin onto this mini dance floor, pulling some moves like twirling. My clone drifted over to the snack table, getting some tea.
As for me...well... Beast Boy and I were standing next to each other awkwardly, avoiding eye contact. Cyborg looked at me and nodded his head over to Beast Boy.
I sighed. I held out my hand. "You wanna dance?"
"Yeah! Sure. Totally..." He seemed distracted.
Cyborg, being the stalker he is, saw that we were heading out to the dance floor. He changed the pop song to a slow one.
"Now for all ya love birds! Robin, hurry up and go ask Star out. Beastie, be a man and take Rae- uh Terra out again!" Cyborg innocently smiled.
I shot a glare at him before placing my hand on Beast Boy's shoulder. He, in return, placed his hand on my waist slowly. Not in a careful slowly, but in a distracted slowly.
We started slowly spinning in a waltz-like style. I guess I have got to thank all of those dancing games I've played in secret. I'm not stumbling all over his feet like poor Star and Robin.
When I faced Cyborg, he moved his eyes from my head to Beast Boy's shoulder. What? Now he wants me to lean on his shoulder? I like my personal space, thank you very much.
Although when I leaned my head, I was shocked to find out that I didn't mind at all.
It has been a whole five minutes of dancing with no talk. The tension started to increase, so I forced myself to socialize.
"So...you're a pretty decent dancer," I lifted my head and poked out my tongue.
"Heh...thanks...." He still seemed as though he wasn't focusing on me.
Confused, I subtly used my dark magic to see how he's feeling. His pulse is increasing, his heart is beating crazy fast.
I furrowed my eyebrows. Is he having a panic attack or something?
Digging deeper into my magic, I invaded his mind just a teensy bit. Only to read his thoughts.
"Omigod. Omigod. This much beauty ain't natural," His thoughts read.
I pulled out of his mind and stared at him. His eyes weren't on me...but rather on...
