Cyborg stared at me with a straight face, arms crossed. I spent a quick second trying to make up an excuse, only to find nothing.
"Well? Why are you disguised as Terra, Rae?" He raised an eyebrow.
"What makes you think I'm disguised?" I tried my best to keep it vague.
The half-robot scoffed. "I'm part computer. Which means that I have access to all information and data collected from every single computer and scanner. ALL information and data," He said matter-of-fact.
"So?" Was all I could say as I pretended to look confused.
"So?" He rolled his eyes and led me over to huge screen that showed every camera's view. There were recordings of the of hallways, the kitchen, and other places. Yet, this wasn't any normal computer screen. The whole place was black and white. The only time color was shown was when the cameras had detected a magical power, such as the pink glow of magic coming out of Star's room.
He entered the password to see the camera's past views. He showed me the time when I sneaked out of Terra's room and passed by Cyborg's room.
"You see there?" He paused the screen and pointed at the dark purple glow surrounding my figure on the screen. "When I last checked, Terra's power color was yellow. Yours was always purple. So what other reason is there that Terra's body is surrounded by purple magic?" He turned to face me.
Well. There's no going back and making excuses. "Okay. You got me. I am Raven." I whispered my famous words and reverted to my real form.
Cyborg just stared at me with a smirk. "I knew it."
"So why does it mater that I'm dressing up as Terra?"
"So?" He waved his arms around. "You are disguised as Terra! You know! The one who betrayed us?" He whisper-shouted.
"And...?" I trailed off. "For all you know, I could've been doing it for some laughs."
"Please. You're Raven. You do everything logically." Ugh. He's still pushing for the answer.
"By the way, there are no means of escape. The door is officially locked until I enter the code. No one's power could break through it." He gave me an infuriating smirk. Again.
"You might as well just tell me or you'll be stuck here all night and Robin will question you."
I sighed. "You really want to know? I did it to make him happy."
"And by him, you mean Beastie." He nods. "But I thought that if you're trying to heal your heart that was damaged by someone, it's best to not see that person for a really long time."
I tried to protest. "But you know...I heard his whimpers. His cries. His begging. How could I just let that happen without doing anything?"
"You could have just comforted him. Instead of going such lengths to disguise yourself as Terra."
He had a point. We stared around the room for a while, the silence engulfing us.
"But here's the real question. Why are you doing this?" He looked straight into my eyes. As if he could see the answer.
"I told you. To make him happy." I tried to dodge the question.
"That part is beneficial to Beastie. But is all of this beneficial to you?"
No answer. How am I supposed to answer when I don't even know it? The silence once again came.
"Fine. I think I already know the answer," He then muttered something under his breath. "They call you the smartest on the team, yet you can't even recognize your own feelings."
"What was that?" I glared at him. I heard every word, but I wanted him to say it to my face.
"Nothing important." He gave me an innocent smile and waved my question away.
Right. Nothing important. Tch.
