Deorro- Five Hours
Jason:
"You say its a jaguar but don't they look like leopards?" I asked as we rushed up the stairs. "They're spots involved. That thing was a panther,"
"Rosettes, and yes. If you look closely you'll see them,"
"Aren't Jaguars yellow?"
"Not all of them. That's like saying all lions are golden yellow or all panthers are black,"
"They're not?"
"No," she shook her head opening her classroom door for me.
"What other colors are there?"
"There are rare albino lions and black ones. There are these really cute ones that are a dark brown with black manes. Those are truly majestic. Some panthers are golden, a very pretty silver, the rarest color they come in is white. Those are highly protected. Snow jaguars are my favorite. Their coat is white and spotted and they have these beautiful teal eyes. Not too intense but intense enough to be considered beautiful,"
"You like cats," I smirked as she sat down. She's fifteen minutes early. I'm just glad we didn't have to be here at eight.
"My mom liked cats. Big cats she has a charity dedicated to them. In the attempt to take in interest in her work, I learned a lot about them,"
"Did it work?"
"No, I started Brazilian jujitsu and forgot why I had started learning about cats,"
"Did you like training?" I asked.
"I did. I've always like to exercise. Running and doing weights didn't really ever cut it for me. When I started self-defense, I picked it up really fast. My instructor suggested something a little more intense. Judo. After that, I wanted to push harder. Careful what you wish for right?"
"I saw you working out this morning. You're really strong. Not a lot of girls can jump the bar while doing chin-ups," she smirked.
"It took me some time but when I was finally able to do it, I was really proud of myself. I actually got that from Oliver. Felicity calls that her distraction from work,"
"How long have you known her?"
"Felicity?" I nodded. "I was interning at Queen Consolidated before it became Palmer Tech. I was seventeen,"
"What are you two doing here?" we looked back at the girl in all pink walking in with her arm out holding up her pink handbag. Too much pink. What the hell is wrong with her?
"We're waiting on Professor Jannelle," Ilya answered.
"Class is canceled," she said looking down at her pink running shoes. "Professor Jannelle died in Arkham last night,"
"Shit," she whispered getting up.
"I was just about to send out an email that class is going to be canceled until next Thursday when the new professor comes in from Central City,"
"Thanks," I said when Ilya stood up.
"Wait, you're Ilyasviel Wayne right?" she looked at the girl and nodded. "Annie Godrick,"
"Right. Hi," she said extending her hand to her. The girl looked down at it making a face.
"I don't like touching people," Ilya laughed.
"I don't either but I promised my dad I was going to play nice with people," she smiled brightly at Ilya like she knew what it was like to make that promise.
