Alison Wonderland- Happy Place

Ilya:

I had not expected them to show up before I got some rest. Not that I mind. I had grown accustomed to the excitement these girls bring to my life. They pulled me out of my comfort zone and true to their word, I connected this way with my mom. I find myself liking putting together charity events and organizing them all to fit the portfolios they want to maintain while in school. It made me wonder if this is why my mom had loved her job. The control she had over everyone.

Parties, however, have never been something I had been interested in. My track record for parties isn't exactly a good one. Not just because my mom had died in one but because they somehow always end badly for me and why would today be any different?

The girls had made me let my hair down and styled it. They had me wash off the makeup I already had on and re-did it themselves. I am now wearing light blue jeans and a dark blue tube top that says Birthday Sass Princess on it. Princess because we all know the Annie is the Queen of all sass here.

"Then she asked me if I had gotten a nose job," Lianne continued her horrendously stupid story.

The other girls laughed. I wondered when the guys were going to get here as I looked this girl dead in the eyes without hearing a single thing that came out of her mouth. I just smiled when the other girls laughed.

"Not once did I think you'd be one of these girls, sweetheart," my heart stopped as I turned around to see the last person I would have ever imagined standing there with a big box in his arms. "Don't make a scene, Viel. You know why I'm here,"

"Lex," was all I could make out.

"I got you a gift, Viel," he said holding the box in his hands out for me.

"Ilya?" I turned back to look at Annie. Her eyes stayed glued to the man in front of me.

"Get everyone out, Annie,"

"Yes, do that," Lex encouraged her. Annie began to tell people to get out of the house. When she was about to walk out with Collin he stopped them and motioned them to come over to me.

"Lex, whatever it is you want, you can get from me. Let them go," I said pushing them behind me. What I really mean is I can't do a damned thing about this with two witnesses watching me.

"Put those three seats together," he pulled out a gun from inside his coat. Annie and Collin stepped back.

"Okay," I nodded. The each of us grabbed a chair and brought them over to the center of the room. He arranged them around the box he had been holding.

"Sit," he demanded. We all sat down. "You know, I'd never hurt you, sweetie. Right?"

"Yeah," I nodded.

He is still a psychotic ass hole but he had loved my mom. He had been there for me and my mom when we needed him. He would have been the perfect stepdad if he hadn't tried to end the world. This is the man who had helped me with my homework when my mom stopped being able to help me. He basically taught me everything I know. Pushed me to push myself.

"I don't want you to be scared. I would never hurt you. Them," he said waving his gun at Collin and Annie. "Them I don't care about,"

"Lex, just tell me what you want," I said trying to keep his attention on me.

"Where is she, Ilyasviel?" a sharp pain struck me in my chest as I realized what he wanted. He doesn't know. "Tell me where she is, baby and I'll let you and your friends go,"
