Pulling My Strings 〆『Law x Reader』

"F/N~ya joined my crew as of yesterday."

It was silent for all of two seconds before Luffy bursted into text, "WHAT! F/N JOINED YOUR CREW?!" he screamed.

"I feel betrayed!" Sanji dramatically cried. Franky crossed his arms. "That isn't suPPERRR!"

The others went on and commented on my decision. "He asked." I said loudly, breaking the loud chatter. "And I said yes because I think it will be interesting."

"But F/N! I wanted you to join my crew!" Luffy whined. I rubbed the back of my neck in embarrassment, not really liking being the center of attention.

"I know, I just..." I sighed. "I'm sorry." Anxiety was exploding throughout me, and I think Law noticed because he quickly ended the conversation.

"We'll be in my submarine." he said in finale. Law pulled me along by my wrist, his callused fingers surprisingly gentle against my smooth skin.

"I'll be back later." I said over my shoulder, giving them a loose wave. I heard someone whisper something.

"When did they get so close?"

"That wasn't necessary." I said to Law in a straight tone. We were now on the deck of his sub and heading to go inside.

He stopped abruptly, still hooding my arm. "They would've never let you leave." He said with a straight face. I pursed my lips.

"I'm my own person, Trafalgar." I said. Law seemed taken back by my pronunciation of his name. It's weird seeing surprise on him.

I tugged my arm, "You can let go now." I said. Law's cheeks got a dash of pink as he let go of me.

"Shall we go see your new room?" he asked. I felt my lips tug up at his wording. My mind got the best of me and I remarked.

"We shall." I said in a mocking voice, emphasizing my tongue movement on the roof of my mouth. Law nodded and we headed inside the submarine.

The halls were as cold as I remembered, I used all of my strength focusing on not chattering my teeth. And the temperature didn't help the pulsing headache I had from whatever is in my system.

We took a couple of turns before I saw Penguin and Sachi arguing at the end of a hallway. I jogged ahead of Law to hear what they were talking about.

"F/N will be mine! No way you'll win her over!" I heard Penguin say to Sachi. My lips curled in, and my mouth formed a straight line.

I clicked my tongue, "I don't think either of you will win me over." I said while putting my elbow of Penguin's shoulder and leaning on him.

They both jumped away with a blush. "W-What! How long have you-." Before Sachi could finished I cut him off.

"Relax, I just heard the last comment. Your pervert conversations are still a mystery." I joked.

Their faces contorted into pure terror. I furrowed my brows before noticing what they were looking at, or rather, who.

I turned to Law to see his menacing expression, annoyance mixed with anger evident on his features.

"Captain?" I said, trying to get his attention. His features softened again when he looked down to me. I raised my brows, but he just shook his head.

"Did you finish the room?" Law asked them. I stood quietly next him, waiting for the others to respond.

"Yes sir! And might I add it looks awesome!" Penguin answered joyfully, all other emotions forgotten. In the middle of him talking, Bepo walked out of the room after opening the door.
