Nam and Ana reached out to each other, their hands meeting. As soon as they touched, their eyes lit up. Water began to swirl between the streams of fire that covered Ana, fire swirling around Nam. Their hair grew longer and it swirled through that of the other girl. They closed their eyes, then they flew open in a burst of light. When the light died down, I could see that they each had one orangey-red eye and one blue eye.
They put the tips of their staffs together, and threw their hands forward, perfectly in sinc. Water from Nam's hand and fire from Ari's flew towards Tamas. It was blinding. The other girls had to look away. Suddenly, there was a scream and a THUNK as Tamas hit the ground.
Nam and Ana ran over to her, their staffs upside down. They plunged the staffs into the ground over Tamas's body so she couldn't get away.
"Where is she?" Asked Nam, and her voice was in deed lighter, more like her own.
"Where is the clue?" Asked Ana, her voice deeper but still somewhat light.
"Next town over." She gasped, trying to take a breath. Her voice came out raspy. "Singing competition. The clue is... In the prize."
Ana and Nam let her go, and she took deep breaths. "Tell Nerezza that we are not pleased with her deceit."
"And that we will be strong when we fight. That we will take her out!"
Tamas nodded, then disappeared in a black fire.
