"What the hell are you doing!?" I watched in dismay and utter horror as the girls drank glass after glass of alcohol.
"If we're going down, we are going down in style!" Fly shouted, holding her hand high and shouting for another shot.
"He'll kill you!"
"Woohoo!" Ari and Ana were dancing on the bar, twirling around, jumping up and down. Nam was lounging on her seat, falling over Fly.
"Another one here," she slurred.
"Woah, Nelly. You've had enough."
"You said it yourself, we're going down in style."
"Good God, the earth is doomed!" I put my head in my hands, tears streaming down between my fingers and dribbling down my arms. I felt a hand on my shoulder and spun around, my staff appearing in my hand. It was Nam.
"Thought you were too drunk to stand." I turned away, my staff vanishing. She just laughed.
"Ana said she had a plan, she wouldn't let us die."
"You aren't slurring your words... You're not really drunk, are you?"
"No."
"How...?"
"The plan," said Ana, coming in from nowhere, "was that Nam would turn the booze into water. Then we could drink as much as we wanted without getting drunk."
"But you acted so well..."
"That was where I came in." Ari stepped up behind me.
"How could you help?"
"I've been drunk once before."
"But you're so... Sensible! Why would you, of all people, be drunk?"
"It was a dare. I'm ashamed of what I did. I got really drunk. And I mean really drunk. I started making out with everybody. Well, all the guys. It was a party. Anyway, I've been drunk. I moved the other girls to act drunk as well. Done and done."
"Wow."
"Come on, we gotta go. We can't leave Fly by herself, and people can only go puke for so long."
"Huh?"
Nam rolled her eyes. "We pretended to go puke so we could talk to you. In case you hadn't noticed, we go into a state when we enter dreamscapes."
"A lot of people fall asleep when they're drunk." I said.
"Not many pop up again after two minutes."
"True." They vanished.
~#~*~#~
A figure walked into the bar. He had a dark aura emanating from him.
"That's him." Fly whispered to Ana.
"Yes."
"Let's go. We don't want a repeat of the last town." They stumbled out of the bar. The figure followed them.
"He's just a boy."
"He's not a boy, he's our age."
"Come on." The girls collapsed on a park bench. The figure walked up to them.
"Can we help you?" Nam slurred.
Saying nothing, the boy reached up and pulled off his hood.
"You!" Exclaimed Namaka, hate etched on her face.
"Hey, babe." Scoffed Adol.
