"Hello?"
(Oh my God, are you okay? Where the hell were you? What's going on? Why the heck didn't you pick up? Is everything alright? Good God never do that again!)
"Becky, shut up!" Fly's cry silenced Becky. "Rebecca, I told you. I can't tell you where I am. Hell, I don't even know where to find this place on a map! I'm travelling around.."
(That's it? That's why you've run off? To go gallivanting around the country with your friends?)
"Becky, it's not like that!"
(Oh, really? Then what is it like?)
"What's happening... It's so much more important than you can comprehend!"
(Care to enlighten me?)
"No!"
(What the hell, Fly? You never kept anything from me! Now you've gone, and nothing's right! You should be ashamed of what's you've done!)
"You sound like Ma!"
(Speaking of Ma, you should have seen the grief you put her through! We've been there for you for years, and how do you repay us? By running away! We were all sick with worry, you sent us half mad! That note you left? Ma ripped it up stuck it back together on the fridge! She goes to bed every night and cries herself to sleep!)
"I'm doing this for everyone's good! If you only knew what I was doing, you would understand!"
(So tell me, for Gods sake!)
"I can't, I told you!"
(Make up your mind!)
"My mind is made up!"
(Fly, why can't you just tell me what's going on? Don't you trust me?)
"I trust you more than you can imagine, which is why I can't tell you."
(Why didn't you answer me before?)
"I had my phone on silent."
(Why?)
"Because they have to be turned off during the competition so they don't disturb the singers."
(Singers? Singers!? That's it?)
"No! That's just a part of it! I told you, that's a part of it!"
(A part of what?)
"Jesus, Christ! I can't freaking tell you!"
(You're driving me insane! They're going to lock me up in a padded room because of this conversation, so I'm going to end it right here and now! Call me back when you feel like you trust me.)
"Becky! Becky, don't you, Becky! Urgh! That, that..." She burst into tears.
