Elementor (Elementor Series Book 1)

"Ari!" Screamed Fly, catching the girl in her arms. She was pale and weak, her eyes closed. Ari changed back into her normal form. Fly set her down gently on the ground. Fly put a rock covering over and around her, and flew back up to fight with me.

"I have to help her." I flew down to Ari. Nerezza was still standing on the ground, dumbfounded. Fly nodded, making a cover for me. I entered Ari's mind.

"Ari!"

"Help me!" Ari was writhing on the floor, unable to control herself. She burst into a fit of explosive coughs. She was on her Elementor form, but the air was thin, was barely there. She was so weak.

"What happened to you?"

"I took off my Ringette."

"What!? Why!?"

"I took it off once. After I found out about the dream. I had to try!"

"It could have killed you!"

"I had to try. She would have killed us all if I didn't. And we never would have woken you. And I wouldn't have unlocked my element."

"Ari, it wouldn't have mattered to any of us whether you unlocked your element. And I don't care you woke me. We'd rather you be safe, you're like a sister to us."

I threw my hand forward, light shining over Ari, freeing her from her weakness.

"Thank you."

We threw our eyes open. Nerezza had only just realised what was happening and had started to fight again. But she stopped as she saw the rocks crumble, and the two of us emerge.

It felt good to have my body back.
