Shawn followed Juice back downstairs. As they entered the lobby, they saw Gemma talking to Nero. She looked at Juice with a glare.
"Hey," he said uneasily.
"Where is he?" Gemma demanded.
"Who?" Juice asked, trying to sound innocent. Shawn rolled her eyes at his terrible lying.
"Really?" Gemma said. "You want me kicking in every Goddamn door?"
Gemma went tearing down the hall as the woman who hit on Juice earlier told her where to find Clay.
"Oh, shit," Juice said and went running after her. He turned to Shawn as he went down the hall. "Stay here!"
Shawn stopped short. She had been ready to follow everyone down the hall, but Juice was right. Gemma's temper wasn't to be taken lightly and Shawn, along with her pregnant belly, needed to sit this one out. She watched at they went down the hall, then glanced at the woman who was leaning against the doorway, smiling at Shawn.
"You and your old man have fun?" She asked.
"Is that really any of your business?" Shawn asked. "Who the hell are you, anyway?"
"Carla. I'm Nero's partner."
"Oh, and here I thought you were just a homewrecking whore. My mistake." Shawn saw Juice coming back down the hall with Nero behind him. "That was quick. What happened?"
Juice opened his mouth, but shouting was heard back down the hall and he and Nero both turned to run back to the room.
"That sounds more like Gemma," Shawn said to herself.
"You really think you're going to be enough for him?" Carla asked her.
"He's my husband-"
"This place is full of husbands. Married men make up more than half our business. Do you honestly believe he would have said no to me if you weren't here? Being married to him doesn't mean you're enough for him. Especially given the obvious."
"I've been around the Sons my entire life. Just because Juice is in an MC doesn't mean he needs to cheat on me."
"That's not the obvious I was talking about," Carla said smugly.
Gemma came tearing down the hall and went up the stairs with Nero following her. The girl Clay had hit on followed a moment later and Juice right after her.
"I got to go," Juice told her. "I got to get Clay out of here before Gemma gets crazier than she already is."
"Don't let her hear you say that," Shawn warned.
Clay entered the lobby and went for the door. "Let's go, Juice."
"Bye," he said and gave her a brief kiss.
"Bye," she relied and watched him leave. She glanced at Carla, but had no interest in finishing their previous conversation. Shawn turned to go back to her room, but Carla stepped in front of her, stopping her. "Get the hell out of my way."
"The obvious being the color of your skin versus the color of is," Carla said, ignoring her.
"What kind of backward, racist bullshit it that?" Shawn asked, with a laugh. "So, let me guess. You would be better for him because you're both Hispanic, right?"
"You have to know seeing the two of you together bothers some people."
"No, I honestly didn't know that, but if it does then those people can go to hell."
Shawn let her shoulder hit Carla's as she passed her. She didn't want to talk about Juice with Carla anymore. Their marriage was none of her business.
