"The papers are completed. Mr. Neil Pathak and Ms. Surpiya Swami your client's divorce will be grant soon." The judge of the family court gives his nod after reading the documents.
"Thank you." They replied in unison.
"You peoples have a daughter as well so who will take her responsibility after this divorce?"
"Obviously me. She is just four and she will stay with her mother only." The lady didn't give enough chance to complete the judge.
"Wait, I wish to apply for my daughter's custody Mam. I can take better care of her." The man replied with arrogance continued to throw a murderous glare at the lady sitting beside him.
"And what made you feel that you will be able to win her custody?" The lady almost shouted making the man flare his nose in anger.
"You better stay in your limits Ms soon to be Ex-Bhalla." He warned her continued to ignore the surroundings.
"Neither this is your office nor I'm your employee. So watch your tongue before talking to me." She sneered back and then looked at the judge, "Mam I don't find any point of argument here. According to laws, a child less than five is supposed to stay with her mother in the case of divorce. I'm the eligible one here." She replied with pride passing mean looks to her soon to be ex-husband.
"I pardon to say but you're not my dear daughter." An old voice stopped her in middle, she narrowed her eyebrows continued to look at her mother who stopped her from saying anything further, "Your honor I don't think if my daughter is eligible to be a single mother. Being a working woman I never saw her having time for her daughter."
"Maa..."
"I'm sorry beta but this is true. You may be a successful professor but your unfit to be a single mother." The old lady went back to her seat ignoring her daughter constant stare.
"Hahahaha her mother declared her unfit to be a mother. I would like to apply for my daughter's custody Mam."
"What made you think that you're fit to be a single father-son?" Another voice came out from the backside leaving him shocked. He looked at the mother with astonished expressions who ignored him and moved towards the judge.
"Mam my son is the CEO of PSR Globals, he lives outside of the country most of the days. I don't think if he is eligible to take care of his daughter. Mam, I'm aging now and I don't think if I and my husband will be able to take care of our granddaughter for a long time, so I want you to decide after studying every aspect. Thank you."
"Maa, how can you?"
"I'm sorry beta but it's true. You might be a successful CEO but you're not a successful father and I don't wish to spoil my lovely granddaughter life."
The old lady replied carrying pure disgust in her voice while looking at her son and daughter in law. The couple sighed with defeat, terribly wanted to avoid the intense gaze of the lady judge who was staring at them.
"It's not what it looks like mam, I mean we are...." The lady tried to put her point which didn't help her in any way.
"It's not the first divorce case I'm working Ms., so keep your justifications up to you. I'm sorry to say but after hearing everything from your parents it's clear that none of you is fit to be a single parent and it's preferable to send your daughter to an orphanage rather than keeping her with anyone of you."
"But!!!!!"
"Now the entire thing depends on you Mr. Raman Bhalla and Mrs. Ishita Raman Bhalla."
The judge firm words were enough to make them a shock.
