The followed morning was bright for them, the sharp rays of sun hit their eyes making them squirm at in the sleep. He turned his side and kept the cushion on his face which soon snatched by him. He groaned and took his own pillow after failing to find anymore cushions or duvet. Before he could move more, he felt something light over his tummy. Raman rubbed his eyes before opening those and he frowned finding his little daughter sitting on his tummy wearing a cute frown on her face. He wrapped his arms around her frame and pulled her next to him.
"Good morning princess." He mumbled in hoarse voice planting kiss on his daughter cheeks. Raman covered her with duvet and hoped she would sleep in his arms but at the next moment he felt a punch on his nose making him yelp. His hold over her frame loosened and the duvet lying on his body thrown away.
"Roo. Why you welcomed Papa in such a violent manner?" Raman murmured trying to understand thr probable reason behind his daughter anger. "You made my Mumma cry and how I came at the end of the bed?" Roohi glared at her father and he bit his tongue internally realising he had a perfect cuddly sleep with his wife replacing his daughter place. Raman looked at sideways and found Ishita absent from her sleeping side. He wished to have her to save him from their little minion warth but look like he have to handle her all alone.
"I didn't made her cry and why would I do that? You know how much I loves you and Mumma." Raman feigned an innocent face hoping if it would melt Roohi heart but his little baby seemed to be stubborn today.
"No. My Mumma cried because of you." Roohi remained persistent on her words and sat on the headrest of the bed. Raman threw away the duvet from his body and started examining his daughter face, this was first time when she is mad from him otherwise it's other way around. Ishita, who just came out from using washroom was surprised and amazed to see her little daughter sitting on the headrest and her husband gazing at her with an interesting eyes. Ishita wiped off her hands and kept the towel aside as she approached the bed and spread her arms towards Roohi who wasted no time in jumping in her mother arms. It's became a routine for Ishita and Roohi where they cuddle for few minutes after she get her up before they start their day. Raman folded his legs and rested his elbow on his thigh admiring his wife and daughter who was snuggling next to each other, Roohi appeared like a koala bear in her mother arms and Ishita she spitted an image of perfect caring mother who was showering kisses on her precious child. Who will say she was crying with pain last night, well he is sure she is still uncomfortable with the periods but she has stopped considering her own discomfort infront of Roohi needs.
"Uhm uhm! Can I get some cuddles as well?" Raman nudged roohi who nodded her head in a big denial.
"Roo....what happened baba? Why you're upset with Papa?"
"He made you cry and why he slept at my place?" Ishita bit her tongue looking at Roohi, sometimes she has no answers of her questions.
"I ..... I don't know darling." Ishita shrugged off her shoulder and faked innocence, "Tell him you're my Mumma and only I will sleep with you." Ishita nodded her head like a puppet making Raman fume with anger. He heard daughters are protective and possessive for their Dad's but here the story is entirely different, his little munchkin is not ready to spare a single look at him.
"Roo trust me I didn't made her cry. You can ask her." Raman forcefully pulled Roohi on his lap and made her look at him. Roohi puckered her lips showing her denial to her father. "Yes Roo Papa didn't made me cry." Ishita was not liking the cold war between her favourite two persons, all she saw Roohi clung to Raman all the time and even he attending her all the small and big demands whenever he is at home.
"But you cried that night, you know she was crying hiding her face because you went away from her for so manyyyyy days..." Roohi spread her tiny arms in the air just to show the days her father was absent from their life. Raman sighed and nodded his head understanding he was wrong for leaving Ishita and Roohi alone, yes he left them alone previously as well but the situation was different this time. He was amazed to see even his little daughter understood the fragility of the situation and disappointed from her father for leaving them alone.
