Angry people's are not always wise
- Jane Austen , Pride and Prejudice.Raman Kumar Bhalla, a two dimensional man since beginning of his life. He wanted to do everything what he want on his terms and conditions. The simple rule of living the life is; he will not change the rules for anyone. His upbringing was different than rest of the boys grown up in middle class indian families. Being the youngest one in his family, Raman Bhalla always treated as an apple of a eye of his family, the only son of a upper middle class family bought ho with a single mindset to conquer success in his life. Since childhood he had nothing in his life except studies and studies. Santhosh and Om Prakash bought up their children with only goals, when Raman came in ninth standard his parents send him to one of an expensive boarding school of country, The Doon School. The crucial teenage years of life spend in pure isolation where Raman Bhalla, having no attachment with anyone except his parents and the books of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. It's rare to find such teenager boys who remain focussed and dedicated towards their goals. Post high school, he indeed returned back to Delhi but his focus remained intact and with single mind he remained focussed on his goals, not many of teenagers manage to do same in the world full of distractions but he successfully does that.
Raman was a successful person in his personal life since beginning and thats taught him to live his life on his own terms and conditions. The terms and conditions were made by him and no one had authority to change those. Being staying away from his family he was no longer habitual to explain his actions, being successful on every step of his life made him believe that his actions cannot be wrong ever. Since Raman Bhalla didn't spend much time with his family enough to understand the fragility of a relationship, the all he observed that man and woman are equal but a family can run smoothly only when one person holds an authority to make decisions. Raman saw his father making decisions in their family and his mother supproting him but he failed to observe the coordinations and long discussions happened between couple before making those decisions.
He made some notions and set his life on same, so much that he is no longer interested in moulding those even for once. It's well said that someday or another changes happens. He needed to change himself in order to make his marriage work with Ishita Iyyer, the woman who is capable to make him go weak on his nerves by doing nothing. In order to make his marriage work without breaking off his rules, he completely forgot that the rules you set needed to be break for someone.
It's not wrong to be conclude that Raman Bhalla is a self centered man, a man who's life revolves primarily around himself only. The self centered nature doesn't always comes to man who faced some bad experiences in his life but sometimes it happens gradually. The circumstances and the atmosphere where person is living plays a major impact on same. In the competitive world, Raman Bhalla remained solely remained a focussed person towards his goals leaving his relations behind. After few years, Raman coldness and aloof behaviour started to bother his mother especially who started to feel more alone after her daughter marriage. She missed staying close to her son who was mostly busied either with his studies or doing internships or projects. Many times Om Prakash Bhalla shared his concern on same, he believed that if it continued to happen than Raman might face difficultly in dealing with real relationships well but his mother believed that he might change after his marriage.
