RING RING RING
"Not again" you groaned as you rolled over, and attacked your alarm clock. "I hate mornings" you grumbled, groggily getting up. You wrapped your arms around yourself and shivered. Why is it so cold in here? You thought to yourself. Suddenly a strong breeze brought your eyes right to the cold culprit. Your open window. I don't remember opening this last night, you thought to yourself as you realized it had been open upon your arrival home last night. You quickly closed the window. Still shivering you proceeded to put on a nice warm sweater, and a pair of skinny jeans. The cold crisp air was a sign of fall. Your favorite season. Finally dressed you headed downstairs to the kitchen. Your mother was already finishing setting the table as you entered the room. Humming her usual tunes the entire time. You thought the world of your mother. Her carefree, and positive aurora always put you in a good mood. You loved the way her auburn hair fell behind her round face. You hoped one day that you would grow into her beauty. "Are you excited for your second day of class?" She hummed in your direction. "I'm not looking forward to it" you remarked, eyeing the waffles on the table. "I know you have a tough teacher this year sweetie, but on the bright side you made a new friend" she said with a smile on her face. "That's true, Dib's pretty cool" you said as you stuffed your face with waffle. You suddenly remembered your encounter with Zim, and the fact that he was an extraterrestrial being. Finally your sister made her way to the table just in time for breakfast. You three are in silence for the remainder of the time."Thanks for breakfast mom, but we gotta go" you said grabbing your backpack. Your sister Tessa followed behind. Walking off your porch the cool air bit at your cheeks. You gave another shudder, and continued on your way. A short time later you both arrived at the school entrance. Dib was waiting for you at the top of the steps. "Hey what's up?" You yelled as you climbed the steps toward him. "Hey! I've been waiting for you" He said with a grin. "I'm not looking forward to going in there" you said rolling your eyes. "Is anybody?" He asked. "Good point" you chuckled. You both made your way to class as the bell rang. Arriving at Ms. Bitters class you both took your seats quickly. Zim entered shortly after. You quickly turned your head towards Dib's direction, and kept it there, not wanting to see Zim. Unfortunately, you were a naturally curious person, and you peeked quickly to Zim's seat. He sat casually, looking forward at Ms. Bitters, with his hands folded in front of him on the desk. You looked back at Dib, who returned your gaze, and gave him a weak smile. Ms. Bitters then began her long drawn out rant, consisting of how horrible children were, and how our parents amounted to nothing. Although her rant didn't last long, a loud CRASH and rumbling interrupted her.
Everyone's heads turned to the windows. The entire room fell silent. Mouths opened wide, the silence only last a few seconds as children began to scream at the horror they were witnessing. A large, ungodly sized metal foot, had just stomped on some nearby buildings. You couldn't believe your eyes. You turned to Zim who had a look of panic plastered on his face. As children were rushing out you froze in a panic. Leaving Dib, Zim, and you alone in the classroom. "What have you done this time?" Dib yelled to Zim, snapping me out of my daze. "NOTHING, this wasn't me, and you can prove NOTHING" Zim yelled back pointing an accusing finger at Dib. "You're not guilty at all" you said sarcastically while rolling your eyes. "Shut up human! Now Zim must leave, to go take shelter or something" He said unconvincingly, while rushing out the door. The robot foot suddenly turned into two robot feet, and it was making its way to the city. "Dib we have to get out of here" you said in a panic. "We have to go after that thing and stop it before it reaches the city" Dib replied. "Are you nuts? How are two kids supposed to stop a giant robot" you asked in disbelief at what had just come out of his mouth. "Remember when you asked me what we do when Zim tries to take over the world? This is what we do. We stop him." He replied, an edge of confidence in his voice. You rolled your eyes. You got up out of your seat, and walked to the window. As you peered out of the window the entire robot came into view. You gasped as you saw the size of it. You guessed it was about 1,000 feet tall. It was shaped almost like a human. It's purple and dark red metal glinted against the rising sun. You squinted your eyes and noticed a black symbol stamped on its back. You were so focused on it you hadn't realized Dib had walked next to you. "You must be looking at Zim's Irken symbol" Dib said, making you jump slightly. "That black mark?" You asked. "Yeah, that's how I know for a fact this is Zim's doing" he replied, a hint of anger edging his voice. "So we're really about to try and stop this giant robot?" You asked. "You bet we are" Dib nodded with a grin. "Then lets do this" you replied, determination now crawling its way into your body. You had a planet to save.
