"Okay that's the last one" I said to myself setting down a box in my new bedroom. "Thank God! I'm not sure I could take anymore of that" my best friend Camellia said walking into the room. I laughed at her, "you didn't even do much. You just picked up one small box and that was it" I said putting my hands on my hips and giving her a glare.

"Hey I can't risk breaking anything. You know how important my body is" she said checking her nails. I rolled my eyes at her.

"Are you girls sure you're going to be okay here?" Mom asked walking into the apartment. Cami and I walked into the soon to be living room where my mum stood. "Yeah as soon as these boxes are unpacked and everything is in place it'll look better" I said, "Relax mom we'll be fine" I said placing a hand on her shoulder.

"Here's the food you ordered. We better be heading back before it gets dark" Dad said placing the bag on the kitchen nook. "Thanks, I'll call you guys later" I said giving them a hug, "bye be safe" mom said as she walked out the door.

"Now what?" I asked looking at Cami, "I don't know about you but I'm starving" she said walking to the food. I laughed, "you're always hungry" I said following her.

Cami and I had decided to move away from home and get our own place. The apartment was not far from where my parents lived. Cami was starting her modeling career but she had a salesperson job at a clothing store in the mall, I had also gotten a job at a hair studio that paid really well.

But I was taking an online course on counciling. After we ate we set up the rest of the house, we didn't have much so the job was easier then expected. "Have you spoken to he who shall not be named?" Cami asked sitting on my bed as I packed my clothes into my closet.

"No have you?" I asked my mood a bit deflated, "no but Rom said he was busy with their latest project" she said. I didn't reply to her, "I really don't know why you keep doing this to each other" she gorned.

"Cam we've been over this. We both need time to ourselves to take care of things" I said tiredly, "Okay" she said holding up her hands in surrender. "All I'm saying is to keep an open mind you never know you might just find someone here" she said getting off the bed, "you know I won't and he would lose his shit if he found out" I repiled.

"And that's not fair to you" she gave me a sympathetic look before walking out of the room. I silently packed the rest of my stuff before lying down on my bed tiredly, Cami's words ringing in my head.

Maybe she was right I needed to keep an open mind, you never know what could happen in the future. My boyfriend and I had known each other since we were kids, along with Cami and her boyfriend Romeo. All four of us grew up together, even though the boys were a little older then us.

And after school they had left town and took over his father's construction company in LA, they built and renovated houses and they were good at their job. We got toghter before he left school. He had done so good with the business that he got so busy he could never leave to come visit, he never came home not even for Christmas.

And him being away was what we always fought about, but we could never let each other go. No matter how much we needed to we just didn't want to. He had also promised me that he was going to move back as soon as all his work was done. We just didn't know when that was going to be.

It's been hard these past years not having him around and always trying to explain our relationship. But I didn't know what else to do, most of the time he was so busy he didn't even call or text me. He had grown up with both his parents, and his father worked for a construction company that was not doing well. He made it his duty to finish school and follow in his father's foot steps opening his own company. I admired him for that.

The next morning was a rush, we had used the weekend to move so that we could go to work on Monday. I got up first and headed to the bathroom, after my shower I woke Cami up and made some coffee.

I straightened my hair but didn't apply any makeup, then pulled my work uniform on. The uniforms where black t-shirts and pants, or black dresses with the studio name on it in white. Today I pulled on a pair of black formal skinny pants and a t-shirt.

I then walked into the kitchen and poured two cups of coffee. I popped bread in the toaster and got two bowls or cereal. "Can't I just fast forward life to were I'm rich, I can't keep doing this everyday" Cami complained entering the kitchen in her work uniform as well.

"Just a few more years" I said giving her a toothy grin, she looked at me then gorned.
