3rd Person POV:

After everyone left the class, she walked over to Professor Lupin.

"You were amazing, professor !" she told him "Guess my mom was right about your skills."

He smiled at her. "Not as good as your mum, though!"

"Well, Come to our home at least by the next holiday. We can use some company!" she said "See you at lunch professor!" Saying so, she exited his class.

Professor Lupin was another friend of her mum. They were both study buddies at their time in Hogwarts. He and her mother contacted through letters but he was busy in search of work, so he couldn't come to visit them even once since she actually started remembering every one she saw. The only thing she couldn't understand was, how such a wonderful man with great skills couldn't get a job. She shrugged it off, once she reached the great hall and sat in between Cedric and Alex.

"(Y/N/N)!" Cedric turned around and sat facing her, his legs on either side of the bench.

"Ced?"she mimicked his position.

"I'm sorry about breakfast. I was waiting for you, when Cho asked me if I wanted to sit with her and I didn't want to miss the opportunity, So I- "

"Ced, I understand."

" I'm sorry!" He was sincerely sorry.

"Don't be." she told him, placing a hand on his.

"Sorry Love birds." It was Fred. Who else?!

"But we need to take our (Y/N/N)!" George told them.

Without warning, each grabbed an arm and lifted her off the table and the floor. Still lifting her, they carried her out of the hall.

"Let me down you morons! I am hungry."

"Well this s important (Y/N/N)!" George told me.

"Nothing is more important to me than food!"

"Ouch! You wounded my heart, Queen." Fred exclaimed, putting his free hand on his right side of the chest. She took his hand and placed it on his left side. "Your heart is right here, you duffer."

He chuckled as they reached an empty classroom and only then did they let her feet meet the floor.

"Spill"

"Well.... Ickle Georgie has a crush!" Fred blurted out.

"Wow..Georgie! Who is it?" He mumbled incoherently.

"I didn't get you?"

"Alicia Spinnet!"

"Is 'The George Weasley' blushing?!! "

"Shut up"

"Help him (Y/N/N). I can't stand another one of his praise speech about her."

"I am ready to help and all.....But, Why me? I mean, I've never even dated anyone in my entire life!!"

"But, you are the Cupid of Hogwarts"

Did you know, they were the ones to name her such? No? Well, they gave her the name after she gave a few tips to Percy to get together with his girlfriend, Penelope.

"Alright. Is she dating anyone?" she asked them.

"No!"

"Is she pinning after someone?"

"No"

"Why don't you just tell her then?"

"I...I can't..." she smiled.

"Don't worry! I've got a plan"

After explaining the plan to them, she thought of going to lunch, only to hear the bell ringing.

"Thanks to you two, I've missed lunch."

"Um..Sorry about that" They replied sheepishly "Here!"

They both took out two chocolate frogs each, from their robe pockets. This was why she loved them. She smiled at them and ruffled their hairs.

"Idiots!" she muttered taking one chocolate frog from each, letting them have one. She started walking towards the Greenhouses for Herbology.

"Hey!"Alex greeted her, adjusting his pace to walk beside her. "You missed lunch"

"Nice of you to notice"

"Well, Cedric and I tried to bring you something. But there was no portable food in lunch. He had Arithmancy. So he left lunch ten minutes earlier."

Yes. Cedric and (Y/N) didn't have the same timetable. They were taking different subjects.

"Why don't we go to the kitchens and get something for you?"

"Professor Sprout will feed us to Venomous tentaculas if we miss the first lesson of the year."

"But, you have to eat!"

"Fine. I have a break next. I can go then."

"Gimme your timetable"

Alex and (Y/N) had the same timetable!

"Do you want to become an Auror too?" she asked him

"Guess I've got myself a work mate!"

She grinned at his answer. They walked to the green houses talking about random things. They found it so natural, talking to each other like they had been friends for years. They just clicked immediately.

After Herbology, they walked to the kitchen, where she had some Sandwiches and they walked to the common room, all the while, playing 20 questions. They got to know ourselves better. It turns out that they had so much in common!

After dinner, she settled in her favorite couch with Cedric. The common room was empty.

"So, Mr. Captain...Are you ready to lead the team?" she asked and he grinned.

"Ready as ever!"

"We've to win this year! Make sure to catch the snitch"

"Or what? You gonna hit a bludger at me?"

"I am a keeper, Diggory!" He smiled, shaking his head.

"Good night, Shorty!" He hugged her.

"Night, pretty boy!" she wrapped her arms around him.

He playfully glared at me.

"You wanna dance?"

"Dance?"

"Yeah"

"where did this even come from?!"

He shrugged "I just feel like it!"

"Sure!"

He took her hands in his and they started swaying without music. He had his eyes closed and a soft smile graced his lips. They were so close. She could feel his breath fanning her face. They were so close!..............

She pulled away abruptly.

"What happened?"

"Am just tired!"

"Go get some sleep"

She nodded. "Night Ced!"

"Night (Y/N/N)! "

She went to her dorm and plopped down on her bed. She couldn't believe herself. She had nearly kissed her best friend! She didn't even know why it happened. Was it because of the close proximity? But they had been friends for five years and never once had she thought about kissing him.

"What the hell happened to me? Did I hit my head somewhere?" She was just glad Cedric had his eyes closed! He didn't see her leaning towards him. She herself didn't realize it. But she did freak out. "It is just my teenage hormones and the lack of distance. I've to be careful!"
