*Erin's POV*

"We've gotta tell Voight." Jay's hand was laying on the little bump, my stomach now was.
"I know... Do you think he's gonna be mad we didn't told him earlier?" I wasn't scared of telling him, but I was scared that he would be disappointed.
"He'll understand it, I'm sure. Do you wanna tell him today or enjoy another day out in the field?" Jay looked at me and I knew, that he knew that I loved my job and that it would be hard not being with my unit for a while.
"I'll tell him today and I'll be over and done with." I sighed and than got out of the bed.

-At the district-

"Do you got a sec?" I walked straight into Voight's office.
"Of course, what's on your mind?" He closed the door behind me.
"Well, Grandpa, there is something you need to know about..." Hopefully this little hint was enough.
"Did you just call me grandpa? Does that mean your pregnant?" His face lit up as I nodded.
"That is wonderful!" He came over to me and pulled me into a tight hug.
"How fare are you?" He looked appraisingly at my stomach.
"Three month." I knew what he was about to say.
"I know you love your job, but your going on desk duty. But... because I trust you I want put you on right now, except you want, than be my guest, but you can stay out in the field till sixth month, of course you allowed to stay at the district earlier and any time you feel like you need to." He patted my shoulder.
"Thank you, that means alot to me." I smiled and than ran out to tell Jay.
I finally found him in the kitchen making himself a coffee.
"Do you want one?" He said jokingly and held the cup right in front of my face.
"Haha, very funny." A disadvantage of being pregnant was definitely not being able to drink coffee.
"So, jokes aside, what did Voight say?" He looked exited but a bit scared too.
"I'm allowed to be out in the field till sixth month." I was so glad he let me stay in full duty.
"Damn it, I was hoping I could finally get a hot partner." Jay was in a jokes mode but I wasn't sharing it right now so as he wanted to kiss as an 'apologie' for what he had said I just turned around and let him stay alone.
"Oh c'mon Erin, it was a joke!" But I didn't react.

*Jay's POV*

Those pregnancy hormones were annoying... you could joke with her and in the next moment she let you stand alone.
"If you wanna have a bed tonight, than be nice to her." Ruzek had come walked over to me and now smiled at me, but his voice was dripping of malicious joy.
"I don't need relationship advice, especially not from you." Now it was my turn to just leave.
"Halstead." Voight gave me a sign so I walked in his office.
"I know, Sarge... the pregnancy..." I was just stammering because I didn't know what to say.
"We're past that. You are her husband and the future father of my grandchild, I can at least assume. He looked at me.
"Of course I'm the father of the child." I couldn't believe that he thought Erin would cheat on me.
"Well, than, the only thing I can say is 'Congrats'. Being a father is the best experience, you'll see." And with that he indicated to me that I should go.
