CHAPTER 6: THE DAUGHTER OF DARKNESS

---

FADE IN.

EXT. ABANDONED TEMPLE – NIGHT

A ruined temple, covered in mist. The air is heavy with dark energy. RAVEN stands at the entrance, her hood drawn, eyes glowing faintly with purple energy.

The ground beneath her shifts subtly, ancient stone tiles moving like puzzle pieces—but she doesn’t flinch.

RAVEN
(calm, but wary)
You wanted me here. Show yourself.

Silence. Then, from the darkness—his voice.

THE ARCHITECT (V.O.)
(smooth, almost amused)
Did I? Or did you find yourself here because you were meant to?

Raven’s eyes narrow. The temple suddenly shifts, walls closing in slightly, corridors appearing where there were none.

She levitates above the floor, cautious.

A shadow flickers in the mist.

She extends a hand—black energy pulses outward, tearing through illusions.

But all she finds is empty space.

---

INT. TEMPLE CHAMBER – THE GAME BEGINS

Raven steps into a massive, candle-lit chamber. Statues of forgotten deities loom over her.

Then—a deck of cards falls from the air, scattering across the floor.

Your voice fills the room.

THE ARCHITECT (V.O.)
Pick a card. Any card.

She clenches a fist. The air around her ripples with dark energy.

RAVEN
I don’t play games.

THE ARCHITECT (V.O.)
Oh, but you do. You just prefer the ones where you know the rules.

The cards move on their own, rearranging into a pattern—a perfect circle around her.

Raven lifts her hands, forming a barrier—
But the moment she does, a card slides into her grasp.

She looks down.

It’s the Tower. A symbol of destruction, upheaval… and transformation.

---

THE BATTLE OF WILLS

Raven closes her eyes and breathes in, reaching into her dark magic—

Then the chamber shifts.

She is no longer in the temple. She is inside her own mind.

The shadow of Trigon looms before her.

Her breath catches—then she smirks.

RAVEN
Nice trick. But I know myself better than that.

She unleashes a psychic wave, shattering the illusion—

And finds herself back in the temple…

But now, you stand before her.

---

THE FINAL MOVE

THE ARCHITECT
(calm, studying her like a chess piece)
Interesting. You resist fear well. But what about control?

Raven moves to attack—but her own shadow stretches behind her—

Then, grabs her.

She gasps—her own darkness wrapping around her wrists like chains.

She struggles—but the harder she fights, the tighter the grip.

She stops struggling. Looks at you.

Then—smiles.

RAVEN
That was a mistake.

Her eyes glow white.

A shockwave erupts. The chains shatter.

She hurls a shadow blast—but—

You’re not there.

Just an empty mask hanging in the air.

Your voice echoes from every direction.

THE ARCHITECT (V.O.)
You learn fast. I like that.

The mask drops to the floor.

Raven stands alone.

She exhales. Not defeated. But… intrigued.

---

FADE OUT.

---

WHO WON?

Neither. It wasn’t a battle. It was a test.

The Architect wanted to see if she could break free of her own mind—and she did.

She wanted to see if she could pin you down—but she couldn’t.

She leaves, knowing she was never really in control of the fight.

But neither were you.

A stalemate. For now.
