Marauders In Time part 2

Grimmauld Place

"Ginny Weasley," she replied, though not convincingly.

"Not yet you aren't," Moody growled. "You're supposed to be in school."

"Yes but it's complicated."

Moody had reached for his back pocket, presumably to grab his wand, Ginny thought. Thinking quickly, Ginny improvised.

"You found a Boggart," she said. "A few days ago. You found a Boggart, in the upstairs closet."

Moody stared at Ginny with both his eyes, his magical one not moving one bit, something she had not seen before.

Ginny continued, "Mum went to deal with the Boggart but she couldn't since the Boggart turned into me and my brothers, dead. A Death Eater wouldn't know that, right?"

After a moment of deep thinking, Moody growled again. This time, he moved away so that Ginny could enter the house. She breathed a huge sigh if relief.

She entered, feeling much more confident in herself. And when she entered the kitchen, her heart lifted a little. Sirius Black, in his pajamas and his hair combed neatly, stood over the sink as he waved his wand deftly to wash the dishes. When he noticed her enter, his eyes widened.

"Ginny? What are you doing here? What's happened? Is everything okay?"

"Everything is fine no need to worry," Ginny said quickly. She wanted to tell him about Harry but couldn't bring herself to do it. But she knew she would have to at some point.

"Then why aren't you at school?"

Moody came in and sat in an empty chair, his mechanical eye whizzing around as he took a swig from his flask. Sirius stopped doing the dishes and went to sit directly opposite Ginny.

"Um...well you might struggle to believe me," Ginny said slowly. "Try not to go crazy please?"

Sirius looked confused but nodded nevertheless, "We won't."

Ginny breathed in and said, "I'm from the future. From the year 1997. I have gone back in time for a mission."

Ginny had half-expected Sirius to gasp out of shock and Mad-Eye to start berating her with questions again about her real identity. But they were both unusually calm.

"A mission huh?" Moody asked, sounding a little bit impressed. "And Molly was okay with this?"

"Not in the slightest."

"What did you need Ginny?" Sirius asked her nicely.

"Um...well...you."

Sirius raised his eyebrows, "Me?"

"Yes. You and... Now I think of it, Mad-Eye."

"Us? What for?"

Ginny closed her eyes briefly and breathed in again, this time ready for a longer explanation. And she went on a large rant about the plan Remus had engraved upon her and what was happening in the future. She went into detail of, first and foremost, how Dumbledore was killed by Snape.

"Death-Eating bastard," Moody growled again. "Never liked him in the first place."

"Always wondered what Dumbledore saw in Snape," Sirius said.

Ginny ignored them and explained about how the world had changed so drastically since Voldemort's return was announced publicly. And then she went on about how Bill had gotten married to Fleur and how their wedding was interrupted by Death Eaters and Kingsley's warning about the fallen Ministry. To top things off, she explained how Dumbledore left Luna a key to his vault in his will and how it led them to this mission and how they are trying to bring the dead people back to fight an ongoing war.

Once Ginny had finished, Sirius seemed to only have one question on his mind that he had been dying to ask. "And Harry? Is he..."

"He's okay...I think. Dumbledore left him a job to do and he refused to tell anyone in the Order. He left as soon as the Death Eaters ambushed the wedding."

Moody let out another low growl but Sirius gave him a quick glance.

"So you've come back," Sirius asked Ginny. "To bring us two to the future and help you?"

"Yes."

"Just us two?"

"I mean you're the only ones from the Order that are dead in my time...sorry."

Sirius laughed, "No need to apologise. I already accepted that my death is to come at the hands of my beloved cousin. I have been through something similar to you when I was your age. So I'm not at all that surprised. I'm glad, if anything. I'd do whatever I can to help, so long as I'm not stuck here."

Moody then said, "And where are the others? The other people in on the mission. Where are they now?"
