Nice and Smart (DRABBLE)

She got a smack for that cheeky answer, totally worth it. See, there was a reason why Runa and Luffy were twins no matter what, they had an obedience streak. Stubbornness was in their blood, really. That, and loyalty. Pure, unadulterated loyalty was carved into their very beings. Runa might not like Ace and Sabo but she wasn't someone who was willing to expose secrets when they were her own peers.

"Runa!" Luffy shouted in alarm, his voice was coated with hysteria.

"All good!" Runa choked out. She gritted her teeth and spat something out, her face contorted into a grimace when she realised one of her teeth came out. The blood that splattered around the ground explained the iron taste inside her mouth, she hated that taste.

"Boss, none of our hits are making any injuries on that kid," someone pointed at Luffy. "But the girl's all bruised up with just three, four strikes in. I think we'll have an easier time breaking the girl in than the other kid, yeah?"

Oh great. Runa braced herself and as expected, the stupid psychotic boss agreed to them. Ignoring the way Luffy protested, Runa gritted her teeth and endured the strikes. Every punch to her body was like a shock to her system but in the end, it was nothing compared to the strength that stupid old geezer would use on them.

"Tell me where the treasure is?" The boss pirate demanded, his voice coated with venom. "Once you tell me, I'll let you and your stupid little brother go."

Runa cocked her head, "Why don't you stick it up your-"

She never did get to finish that stupid line before he struck again.
