As it turns out, Runa managed to grill the reason behind Shanks' departure from the mayor. A quick listing of the Mayor's favourite magazine along with a spike of alcohol in his food— Runa had the Mayor spilling the beans without the old man even realising it.
"Garp is coming home!"
Those very words made Runa pale in horror. She grimaced in disgust at the thought of that crazy old man coming back before running to find Luffy.
"Luffy! Luffy!" Runa cried out before she came to a stop, "Luffy! The old man is coming home!"
Watching Luffy screech in horror would've been comical it Runa wasn't feeling the exact same horror internally. Luffy looked at her, his entire frame trembling in terror, "Jii-chan? Home? Here?!"
"Yes," Runa confirmed his worst nightmares.
"I SHOULD'VE RISKED BEING A STOWAWAY ON SHANKS SHIP!" Luffy cried out in disbelief.
Runa scowled, "I don't think we should mention Shanks with the old man around."
"Huh," Luffy nodded, "You're right."
"I'm always right."
