Nice and Smart (DRABBLE)

"I can hear you, you know?" The red-haired pirate finally said. Luffy clutched her hand tighter but still held his stance. Runa stared.

"Obviously. Makino-san's bar is approximately 15 by 56 feet big," Runa said, "If you can't hear me while I'm not only speaking in this bar but also doing it within your proximity then your hearing must be incredibly inadequate."

Red hair gaped.

"What- I don't even know half the words you used! How old are you?" He demanded. Luffy was the one who supplied an answer to the stranger's question.

"Runa knows big words because she reads a lot! Runa says that one day she's going to memorize the dictionary," Luffy recited as if he's been told so countlessly. Case to point, Runa had told him continuously that she was going to memorize the entire dictionary just so she can insult people without them knowing.

"Ne," Luffy jerked, "Are you really a pirate?"

"Yes! Shanks is the name, kid." Shanks grinned. Runa wondered why but she had the sudden urge to wrap Luffy up in a bundle, tuck him away in some castle, before burning Shanks' ship down. Maybe she needed a doctor.
