The Adventurous (HTTYD Hiccup x Reader)

Fight them, not each other!

Stormflu flies up next to us and I see Astrid's amazed face as she looks around at the cave.

"Y/n what..." She breaths out as we reach the end of the cave, otherwise known as the water exit, and Nyra lands with Stormfly.

"It's beautiful isn't it?" I ask her, she simply nods in response as she takes in the environment.

"Who else knows about this?" She questions as I find a small hole that would be big enough for me to put the Dragon Eye in and take it out.

"Just you and I know," I tell her as I place the Dragon Eye in one of the said holes and place a rock in front of it, just in case.

"Are there any other exits?" Astrid asks me as I turn to face her.

"Yeah. The waterway is right behind you, that's the only other way in." I tell her and she looks at the water behind her as I get onto Nyra, who coo's happily at the fact we're going out the waterway.

"Will Nyra fit through the gap on the way back?" Astrid asks as she hops onto Stormfly, causing me to smirk.

"She barely fits through flying in, so we take the waterway out," I explain to her before Nyra flies into the water and we hold our breath as she swims through the cave before she gets into the open sea and flies up out of the water.

Nyra shakes her head, causing more water to wet me and for her to roar happily.

"Yes. Yes. Very funny." I mumbled to her as I squeeze water out of my hair.

"Y/n!" Astrid calls out as Stormfly flies over at us.

"You alright?" She asks playfully.

"Aside from someone wetting me more, I'll be fine. We just need to fly around for a bit to dry off." I tell her as we start flying back to the Edge.

Once we get there I had dried off and Astrid had come to us with some things to do to set up a small defence tower somewhere. She had the twins carry bits of wood over to the woodpile she wanted to be set up while Dracul and I do the same.

We were behind the twins carrying a bit of log, with Barf and Belch carrying one as well of Ryu.

We walk by Astrid as she looks at the plans with the timber to see more timber already there and ready to be lashed.

"We've done all of these already? Man, we are kicking some serious-" Tuff started, celebrating at the work that was done and being optimistic about it.

"No, no, no. That's your first one. All the others, I did by myself. Go, team." Astrid told them, obviously not happy with them at all.

Tuff and Ruff then threw their log onto the pile the completely wrong way, causing it to collapse and roll off the cliff next to the pile.
After it had all rolled off Barf and Belch dropped their log as well as Dracul, Ryu and I place our logs down gently to start a new pile.

"You know what? I'll get the rest of the lumber myself. You four-start lashing together some poles for the first level of stairs. Do you think you can handle that?" Astrid asked before storming off to do the rest, I nudge Dracul and gestured for him to go help her. Once he ran off after her I turned to the twins.

"She didn't let us answer," Tuff stated, looking in the direction that Astrid stormed off in.

"That's what they call a 'rhetorical question'," Ruff informed him, but he simply looked over at her like he didn't believe her.

"Please. Like that's even a thing. And you don't know what it means." Tuff argued as I watch this play out.

"A rhetorical question is one asked solely to produce an effect or to make an assertion. Not to elicit a reply. Bam!" Ruff defined, proving him wrong.
