First Chapter of Future Stories: Part 1

This story is set after the Monster Wars. Godzilla returned home with the H.E.A.T team. But after losing his cyborg father. He realized he longed for a companion of his species. So he started to call out to them. Praying that one would hear his call and come. He hardly ate or slept. Just called out for a mate.

"What are we going to do Nick?" Elise asks. "If he keeps this up, he'll kill himself" she states.

"See his still roaring" Randy says as he returns with Monique with coffees. "Any ideas what's wrong with him?" he asks Mendel. Who had head phones own while repairing N.I.G.E.L for the millionth time.

Nick continues his work. "It's been nearly three weeks since he started roaring every night. Five days since he last ate and two since he last slept" Elise states.

"Maybe he's lonely" Mendel states while he removes his head phones.

"Of course" Nick says as he gets up heading for the window. "Think about it, he was recently reunited with his dead father. Who he killed and now is back with us humans. After spending a few days with his cyborg father. A member of his own species. He didn't have to fear about hurting him and they were able to hunt together. Godzilla wants a companion his size" he states.

"But all other Godzilla were destroyed" Monique states.

"Wait, the aliens were working on something else encase the cyborg didn't work" Elise states.

"What?" Mendel and Randy ask her.

"Growing their own Godzilla, in fact they succeeded in making an egg. Don't know what happened to it" Elise states.

"Most likely destroyed when we blew up their lab" Mendel states.

"Most likely, but maybe we could make out own" Nick mutters.

"What? You want to make another Godzilla?" Monique demands.

"Godzilla is sad, lonely and will die if we don't do something" he states. They start to argue and Elise joins in with Mendel. While Randy notices Godzilla had gone quiet outside. He heads for the window.

"Ah guys" he says quietly and they don't hear him.

(Outside)

Godzilla stopped when he heard something answer his call. He stand up scenting the air. His tail wags slowly behind him as he hears another call. He roars back and waits in anticipation.

(Inside)

"Yoo!" Randy shouts and the others all look at him. "Something's up with the big guy" he tells them nodding to the window. They all come to the window see Godzilla looking out at the water. And to see something big heading their way. They rush to the roof.

(Outside)

Something comes out of the water. It was another Godzilla. But this one looks different to the ones they'd meet before. It was slightly smaller, brown scales, red eyes, no hooked claw on it's feet and smaller fins. It approaches Godzilla causally as they sniff each other.

"It's her, she survived" Elise says.

"She?" the others ask.

"The aliens were making a female Godzilla, called her Neera" she states. Neera nuzzles Godzilla cooing softly. He coos back rubbing his head along the length of her body.

"Looks like the big guy has got himself a girl friend" Randy states.

"Is that a good or bad thing?" Mendel asks them.

"Guess we'll find out" Nick states. As Godzilla and Neera leave.

"Looks like Godzilla is taking his girlfriend on a date" Randy says smiling.

"This isn't good" Monique states.

"What do you mean?" Nick asks her.

"It was made by the aliens Nick" Monique reminds him.

"Maybe we should call Hicks" Elise suggests.

"No, Neera hasn't shown any aggression towards us or Godzilla" he states. "It's been three weeks and no incidents have been reported. She obviously hasn't caused any trouble. Why anger her and jeopardize that?" he asks.

"He makes a good point" Mendel states.

"What is they breed?" Monique demands.

"Did you forget how many eggs Godzilla's father laid?" Elise asks.

"Just a second ago, you were all for him having a companion" Nick reminds her.

"Yeah, a companion. Not a mate and babies" she states.

"We don't even know if Neera can breed" Mendel states.

"We can find out" Nick states. "For now, we'll study her and Godzilla together. If she causes trouble, we'll call Hicks. I hope it won't come to that. Because we might have to take Godzilla out too" he tells them. Elise, Randy and Mendel nod their heads in agreement.

"You're all insane" Monique tells them.

"Are you with us or not Chica?" Randy asks her. They all look at her, waiting for her answer. She looks at them all thinking hard.

"Fine, but if they're able to breed together. We kill them both" she states before leaving the roof. Nick tells Mendel and Randy to get a fix on Neera & Godzilla's location.

(Ocean)

Godzilla and Neera are swimming having fun. Playing tag and hide & go seek. They hunted together. Before Godzilla lead her to his den. They curled up together and fell asleep.

(Lab)

"You gotta admit, that's cute" Randy tells the others as they watch the sleeping lizards on screen.

"It is" Elise admits with a small smile.

"They have the right idea" Mendel says with a yawn.

"It's late guys, lets call it a night. We'll be back first thing tomorrow" Nick tells them. They all agree and go ready to leave. They shut everything down, turn on the security system and went to their separate homes. Calling it a night.
