A/N this is not a full chapter yet, I will complete it when Mufasa the Lion King goes onto Disney +. But here is a little simple of what to expect.

Summary:

This is a story of Taka's sister Uru. In how she became Mufasa's sister and he her second brother. How they found Milele with Taka, a lioness called Sarabi, a mandrill called Rafiki and a horned bill called Zazu. How they protected Milele from a pride of rogue lines called the Outsiders, who were lead by their tyrant king Kiros. Who dreamed of being the only lion king.

Uru's POV

So Nala is away having her second cub. Simba has gone to be with her. Leaving Timon and Pumba to take care of Kiara during the rain storm. So I've decided to check on her with my two daughters Amani and Imani. Turns out Rafiki has the same idea.

"Ah Uru, I was about to tell Kiara a story" he tells me with a smile.

"Yeah, story time!" my daughters cheers.

"Amani, Imani!" Kiara cheers and they greet each other happily.

"Oh hi Uru" Timon says.

"Timon, Pumba" I say nodding my head in greeting. "So what story were you gonna tells Kiara, Rafiki?" I ask him curious.

"I was gonna tell her how Mufasa became king of the pride lands" he states.

"That was so long ago" I say as I lay down.

"Do you know the story Aunt Uru?" Kiara asks me.

"Know it? I lived it" I tell her chuckling. "In fact I wasn't much older then you when I meet Mufasa the first time" I state.

"Wait, if you are his age" Amani says confused.

"How come we're Kiara's age?" Imani asks.

"Do we have an older sibling we don't know about?" Amani asks and I chuckle.

"No, it just took me longer to find a mate then my brothers did" I tell  them. "But that is a story for another time" I tell them. "This is a story about how an orphaned cub became my second brother and a king" I state.

"Gather around young ones and we shall tell you the story" Rafiki tells them as he sits beside me. They join us. Along with Timon and Pumba with a bark plate full of grubs. Yuck, I can't believe Simba grew up on bugs.

"This story begins far beyond the mountains and the shadows, on the other side of the light. In this place, everything was dying of this. As twenty-full moons have passed without a single drop of water. But when the skies finally opened, destiny would rain" Rafiki begins the story. Where as I think back to a few days before Mufasa appeared.

(Past)

I decided to practice my hunting skills and my brother Taka is always an easy target. I pounce and pin him. "Hey, pinned you again!" I cheer as I let him up.

"One day I'll bet you Uru" he tells me. "Besides, no fair with the sneak attack" he adds.

"You need to learn to be more observant. Besides how else am I to practice my hunting skills in between lessons?" I ask him. "Want to fight?" I ask him getting into a play bow. Growling playfully. He copies me.

"Taka!" father snaps. "I told you we are to begin your training and you're goofing off?" he demands.

"We were just playing" Taka tells him.

"You don't have time to play" he snaps.

"Easy Obasi" mum says as she joins us. "They are just cubs" she reminds him.

"Taka is the future king, he needs to start acting like it" father tells her. "Come Taka" he says and walks away. Mum nudges Taka gently and he sighs before following our father.

"Ready for your lesson?" mum asks me.

"Yeah, sure" I say. "Mum, how come males never hunt?" I ask her as we walk away from the shade tree.

"It's not their job dear, it is ours. The males job is to protect the pride" she tells me.

"But all they do is lay around and sleep" I snap annoyed. "How are they meant to protect us if they don't train and keep their skills sharp?" I ask her. "If I was leader, we'd all hunt, train and protect the pride together. We'd be one" I tell her.

"That is an amazing dream and maybe Taka will see it come true" she tells me. "But he'll need your help to make it reality" she tells me.

"If he doesn't and turns out like dad or worse. Then I will challenge him for right to lead the pride" I tell her.

"Don't let your father hear you say that" she tells me. "Besides a pride can't survive without a king" she reminds me.

"A strong and wise king. Not a lazy weak one" I state and she sighs. "But I will stand by Taka mum and respect him. Unless he gives me a reason not too" I tell her. She smiles and nudges me. "What are we learning today?" I ask her.

"Tracking, but right now you need a bath" she states. I groan. It's not that I don't like bathes. I'd just rather do something active. We join the other lionesses and I lay in front of mum. She begins to give me a bath as I think about our future lesson in tracking. I maybe good at stalking and taking down prey. But I am still a novice at tracking, it has never been my best skill. However, mum says I'll get it one day. It just takes time and patience. But I've never had much patience.
