You entered the elevator and looked down at the notebook in your pocket.
You always kept everything written down now, even if others advised you not to... for whatever reason they had.
Ever since the day you woke up, no memories of the day before, you made sure you always remembered everything.
The elevator started to go down as you sighed, "Another one of these days...".
You're now stuck with 173 for the week because someone's sick.
You entered the room to realize no one else but a few guards were there.
"Uh... Hi guys."
They didn't seem to respond, probably just focusing on 173.
You sigh and sat down in a chair.
A mic was nearby. You scooted the chair over and turned the mic on.
"Hello? 173?"
What else is there to do if no one else is here?
You didn't really expect an answer.
"Dr. Y/N?"
You froze, "I never said my name... how do you know it?".
"You don't remember? We ran into each other during a breach! We had a conversation about-"
Suddenly someone pulled you away, "That's enough 173".
You stood there, you didn't remember ever speaking to 173. And... Why wouldn't 173 have killed you?
"Dr. Y/N, I think you should leave."
"But, I thought-?"
"Things change, please leave."
You sigh before walking out. You start to walk towards your dad's office. He asked to speak to you earlier.
As you walked you thought about 173. What was it talking about? You don't remember...
Maybe you weren't just knocked out during that breach...
But if something happened... What did?
You stood in front of the door, snapping out of your thoughts.
You opened the door, "Hey dad.".
He seemed to be reading over a document. He slammed it shut when he heard you.
"Oh! Y/N! I wasn't expecting you so soon."
"Yeah... They made me leave the room for some reason. I don't really think they even had a reason..."
"Strange... I'll ask someone about it later."
"So... What are you reading?"
"A document."
" Oh, really? You know that's not what I meant. What is it on?"
"I can't tell you."
You cross your arms and stare at him, "Why?".
"I can't tell you that either."
You rolled your eyes, "Whatever.".
"Anyway, how had work been?"
"Did you really call me here for this?"
"Just answer the question Y/N. We don't get to talk very often."
"Well-"
You heard the door burst open.
"Y/N! I HAVE TO SHOW YOU SOMETHING!"
