He sat at the desk in his containment. He hadn't spoken since the incident.
He finally got to tell you how he felt... And then you died...
Well, you being dead wasn't confirmed yet but... He was sure you were. No matter how badly he didn't want to...
He pulled out the music, he forgot he even had it.
So much seemed to happen because of this little thing...
He never did tell you if it was fixed or not. Mostly because he knew his efforts probably failed...
Like how he failed you.
But it worked. It worked perfectly.
He knew you would have been so happy to know it was...
He wished he could see you one more time. Just once more...
But he knew it was foolish to wish for something that would never happen.
There was only one thing for him to turn his focus back to, his cure.
The cure...
But he would never forget you...
The words he spoke could barely be heard as the music box stopped, "Tu me manques mon amour..."
He pulled out his journal and started to read his old notes.
The mic in the other room came on, "049, we need your attention".
