Forget the Rules (SCP-049 x reader)

You opened your eyes to the sound of a fan.

Had you really fallen asleep?

You sat up and looked around. 049 was in a chair somewhat across from you. It seems even he had fallen asleep. 

He looks so cute-

No! No... He is not cute.

NO.

What is wrong with you Y/N...

Maybe you do spend too much time together... YOU are getting too fond of being around him. Well, at least when he's not acting all weird.

Your attention turned to the door. Surely some of the anomalies had to be contained by now. You probably slept through an announcement or something.

You stood up and stretched. 

You walked over to 049 and shook him a bit.

"Come on. Let's go."

"I take it your rest was worth it?"

"Yeah, I feel great. Seems you needed a nap too."

"No, but I had to do something to pass the time."

You laughed a bit, "Come on.".

"I am coming."

As the door shut behind you as you remembered 173. 

"Oh yeah... Hey, stay close to me okay?"

"Alright."

"And uh... Keep your eyes open."

"Noted."

You just wanted out of there. As far away from that statue as you could be. 

But, alas, you ran into it.

It noticed you almost immediately. Not being able to move alerted it of your presence.

"049, don't blink."

"Dr. Y/N, is that you? And with bird-face, how wonderful."

"Please do not call me that." 

You were confused, "How do you know me?".

The statue went silent for a moment, "So, the rumors are true! What a shame.".

"What rumors?"

"The breach we had a meeting during. Seems it was erased from your memory. I told you, stupid scientists, guards,... it doesn't even matter who, they even wiped the memory of their own colleague."

"...Oh..."

"Well, If you spared me once, could you do it again?" You asked with an awkward smile.

"Maybe if you weren't restricting my movement! I hate standing still..."

049 could see you nod in the corner of his eye. He sighed as his eyes closed.

Your eyes weren't closed for long but hearing the statue move terrified you.

You open your eyes. Only to see it still a notable distance from you.

"See? I can be trusted."

"Yeah... Sure..."

"So! Would you like to hear about the conversation we had? Wait- I think the way that mask acts and talks is starting to get to me..."

"What?"

"I have to listen to him talk... All the time..."

"Sorry..."

"But the conversation you and I had was about its gossip. But I'm sure Bird-face here doesn't want me to say anything."

You could see the way 049 stared at 173. This isn't going to end well... But...

"Okay... What are all of you hiding from me?"

"Well, I don't want to be the one to have to tell ya but... Bird face here... He uh...hehe."

"You are about as bad as that mask, what is it?!"

049 was completely silent.

"Let's just say... he... really likes you... at least, that's what I've heard."

Your head slowly turned to 049.
