If It Happens (Wenclair)

Wednesday's POV

I woke up to Enid curled up on me holding her phone on my bare stomach. "You better not be taking pictures" I grumbled. "Good morning to you too sunshine" she laughed.

"Oh so I'm the sun in our relationship?" She dropped her phone making a little smack noise on my stomach. "Repeat that one more time" she said seriously.

"You know what I said" I rolled over kissing her forehead. She giggled and said, "you're my girlfriend aren't youuuu hehe"

"Yeah yeah I thought that was kind of what was happening. With all the sex and saying I love you I kind of just assumed I guess." She squealed "well that's not really how it works but sure!!"

She took the covers off of me, exposing my whole body, taking it in for a few moments. "I haven't seen you in the daytime.. Wednesday you're beautiful" she gently said.

I curled up in a little ball embarrassed and flustered. She tackled me laughing, "noo don't get shy on me!" I was trying to push her off and we were both laughing as she kept trying harder to get me to stop hiding in myself.

"Enid I need to get dressed" I told her, and she finally grabbed a hold of my hands and pinned them above my head.

"Gotcha Weds!" We were breathing heavily from all the play fighting and we just took a moment to look at each other.

Her eyes were glimmering and I could just feel the love flowing from her chest. She's always been good at that, showing her emotions. I wondered if I was properly showing her.

"Don't give me that look" she said softly. "What look?"

She leaned down letting my hands go and kissed me. My hands rested on her soft shoulders and traced her shoulder blades.

"Are you going to tell me what look I was giving you?" I asked after a few long kisses. She leaned back and smiled. "Like you love me."

I do love her, more than I could love anyone or anything. If I was the sun like she said, she was the galaxy I lived inside and we had the rest of the universe to travel through until the end of time. The world escapes me when we're together. My love for her is as water is to the earth, giving life to something new. A new version of myself willing to give anything for her happiness.

But I couldn't say that to her because as soon as she spoke she got a call from Bianca. Her eyes grew wide and she started to get antsy.

"Really? How do you know? Ok I'll tell Wednesday and we'll meet you at the Weathervane. 30 minutes? Ok see you then."

She rushed around throwing my clothes at me and pulling herself into some pants. "Bianca has some information and I think you should hear it from her."

Bianca was already there sitting at a booth and welcomed us to sit with her. "You two are too cute" she said watching me hold Enid's hand over the table. And you know what? I kept it there.

"Ok so let's get talking. I found out that Aster is Yoko's aunt. I was snooping through her office while she was out and I pulled out Xavier and Yoko's files because I saw they were still at school."

"Wait wait they aren't expelled for literally trying to murder me???" Enid asked fuming.

"That's what I thought! So I was looking through Xavier's file and it just mentioned in the recent report that he was having a disturbing spell from bad dreams and that Yoko's aunt Aster is keeping an eye on her mental health." Bianca sat back winded from the drama.

Enid's POV

Wednesday was trying to comfort me by rubbing her thumb over mine but it was taking everything in her to not go straight to Nevermore and kill Aster, Yoko, and Xavier.

"They're fucking dead" she gritted through her teeth. I felt like my breath was getting stuck in my chest and I felt like I was going to pass out.

"You ok Enid? Do you need some water?" Nothing felt right in my body and I felt so numb yet able to feel every sensation at the same time. The room was too big yet it felt like it was closing in on me, I felt like I was drifting away but like I was going to fall over.

I couldn't even speak, I got riddled over with the panic. Wednesday saw me lose control and held my face in her hands.

"Close your eyes Enid" she told me gently. I almost couldn't stand the feeling of her hands on me because the rest of my body just felt like particles disintegrating.

"I brought Ajax's car, help her get out of here" Bianca said quickly getting out of her seat. She always knows what's up.

Wednesday picked me up and cradled me like a baby, carrying me to the car and I grasped onto her in fear. Bianca brought some blankets from the trunk and tossed them in the backseat with us.

Instead of sitting in the front she sat right next to Wednesday and let me lay my legs across her lap with the rest of me still holding onto Weds.

"Is it ok if Bianca puts pressure on your legs?" She asked whispering very quietly into my ear. I nodded and Bianca squeezed my legs tightly which surprisingly let me relax a little.

"I'm scared Weds" I started to cry into her shoulder. She held on tightly to my chest and rubbed my back. "Shh it's ok we are just sitting in the car right now. Just me, you, and our best friend."

"I'm sorry I didn't mean to make this about me" I kept sniffling. Bianca spoke and said "hey I'm not bothered by this, I'm just glad we're all together again. Don't worry about it I missed you!"

God I had two of the best people in the world right here with me. Bianca and Wednesday conversed about random things so I wouldn't have to talk but all the while they still compressed my body.

Bianca's POV

Something was different about Wednesday and Enid. I mean Enid is always a bright star but Wednesday just seemed... warm. I'm not surprised they're together, Enid was everything Wednesday needed, and Wednesday was a secret to unlock for Enid. It just works.

I felt the panic settle between both of them and it suddenly dawned on me as Wednesday whispered in her ear. "Wait, did you just say you love her?"

Wednesday blushed and looked at me with a small smile. "No way... NO WAY!!" I said getting the most excited feeling I have ever felt.

Enid shot up and bent over to me. "Oh you would be surprised to know the things she does that seem so off brand for her! She buys me flowers, cleans up for us, says she loves me, helps me take a bath- wait forget I just said that."

Wednesday face palmed and shook her head. "Eniddd there are some things we don't mention to our friends." Enid looked back at her for a second and said a quick "sorry" but looked back and gave me a wink.

I felt nothing but love between them, and yes it was weird picturing Wednesday being romantic and having sex but it also wasn't weird. She's not heartless. She just never had someone willing to take hers and treat it with care.
