"I don't need a lecture from you."
"Whatever, just think man." He squeezed my shoulder,
I stared at the picture of my parents on my desk. Fifteen years and I still missed them. What would they do in this situation? I could imagine my mother and her kind eyes. She would have a solution to this problem. I shook my head before placing it face down.
"She has a doctor's appointment in the morning, should I attend?"
"Up to you little bro. I have to go, but text me when you get to the nightclub."

"Luna." I shoved my hands in my pocket while slightly rocking back and forth.
"Last name?"
"I don't know."
"You don't know?"
"I just said that."
"Are you looking for Luna?" I heard someone question.
"Yes, you are?"
"Jorja, her best friend. They're only allowing one person in the room with her, I'm sure Lola will trade with you." She said. "But it's room one-fifty."
"Thank you." I nodded.
I started walking towards the room with my heart beating out of my chest. Why was I nervous? I stood outside the door, nervous to go in. Open the door, Luca. I pushed down the handle before pushing the door open.
Luna sat up before smiling. She was a very beautiful girl, I can admit that. I looked to the left and saw Lola, or who I assume to be Lola. She crossed her arms before standing up. She slowly walked over towards me, her eyes never leaving mine. She was intimidating.
"I'll wait with Jorja." She said while still staring me down.
She left out the room before closing the door behind her.
"Don't mind, Lola. She's very protective, I swear she isn't rude." Luna softly spoke.
"I get it."
The room fell silent.
"The cake that you made, was really good."
"Yeah? You liked it?" Her face lit up.
I nodded.
"Good, I usually don't make it much so I'm glad you enjoyed it." She started to mess with her fingers. "The doctor should be in. I really appreciated you coming."
"Uh. Yeah. Of course." I looked down.
"This doesn't have to be awkward if you're deciding to be in the baby's life. We can be friends." She started. "I just don't want it to feel like we're complete strangers."
"Aren't we though? We know nothing about each other."
"Yeah, but we can learn. Life threw us something so unexpected, all we can do is catch the ball and continue to play the game."
"What?"
"Something my granny always use to say." She chuckled. "Sorry."
"Don't apologize. I get it, now."
"Sorry. Ugh sorry, omg. I'll just shut up now." She shook her head.
"What's your last name?"
"Spears?" She furrowed her eyebrows.
"The lady at the desk asked me and I didn't know. Thankfully your friend Jorja was out there to help me."
"I love Jorja. She's my bestie." Luna smiled.
"So I've heard."
"What changed your mind?" She questioned.
"About?"
"Being in the baby's life. Unless I'm just still assuming you will be. I don't know what I'm saying." Luna awkwardly looked down. "You changed your mind about being in the baby's life is what I'm asking."
"Oh-"
We heard a knock on the door before the doctor walked in along with a nurse. The nurse walked over toward Luna.
"Lift up your shirt for me."
I looked away.
"Good morning, what a beautiful couple you are." He smiled while placing down his clipboard. "I see this is our first checkup?"
"Yes." She nodded.
"So. The blood work came back and you are about six weeks along. Next time, let's get to the doctor a little sooner." He chuckled. "Excuse me, I'm Dr. James by the way."
He stuck out his hand. I gave it a firm shake.
"We ready to see a heartbeat?" The nurse questioned as she smeared the jelly across Lunas' stomach. She placed the wand on her stomach before moving it around.
Luna smiled while looking at the screen.
"Oh!" The nurse exclaimed.
"What? Is everything okay? I came in too late didn't I?" Luna panicked.
"No! Your babies are fine! Two perfect and strong heartbeats." She pointed at the screen.
Babies?
"Babies?" Luna questioned.
"Babies?" I questioned.
"Babies!" She exclaimed. "Congratulations, you guys are having twins! There's baby A and there's baby B."
"Twins!" I exclaimed.
"Twins?" Luna questioned.
"Twins!" Dr. James smiled.
"I think I'm gonna. I'm gonna pass out." Luna shook her head.
