Un-intended

Un-intended: chapter twenty 

"Are you serious?" Lola looked around. "Paid off?"

"Yes. Paid off." I reassured. "He shouldn't have. That's too much. I can't even-"

"That boy might be catching some serious feelings for you."

"That's beside the point, Lolo." I grabbed the frosting containers.

"Don't go into your spiel about hardworking and earning everything you got, princess Tiana. Some things are a blessing in disguise and baby, what you got was a blessing. So take it and use it."

I nodded. "I gotta make sure to thank him."

"You gotta make sure to do more than that." Lola cheered before slowly dropping it low.

"Lola." I cringed while tossing the rag at her. We busted out into a fit of giggles.

Truth be told, I needed Lola more than I led on. We argued and we fought but thats what sisters do. At the end of the day, there wasn't a bond stronger than what was held between two sisters. 

"I love you, sis." I smiled. 

"I love you too." Lola grabbed the frosting containers and began removing the lids. "Speaking of...have you talked to Jorja?"

"I haven't." I sighed while removing the cupcake from the tins. I arranged them on the tiered display. "I want to, I just don't know how to approach it."

"Apologize and take accountability. Just how I tend to push and search, you tend to run and hide."

"I dont think thats a real analogy, but I get what you mean."

Lola smacked her lips, grabbing the piping bag. She grabbed the large spoon, setting the bag up in a cyndiler dish before scooping the  icing . Lola paused, looking for the right words to say. I noticed ever since we reconciled she began holding back her tongue. 

"You are like, an innocent cat who makes mistakes which hurt other people. You didn't intend on doing it but it happened. Although you have made the mistake, you cant be like a cat and hide under the bed afraid for them to find out. Be like a dog and face the problem, take the lashing and cuddle right back under them."

I snorted and Lola smiled. "Thank you."

"Of course."

"I hoenstly dont know how I let it get to this point." I shrugged. "I can't even blame it on the tiwins, I was drowning before I knew I was pregnant."

Lola laid her hand on my belly, she rubbed it in slow motions. I smiled. 

"We're five months old babies." Lola cheered.

"We find out the gender today." I smiled.

"Really?' Lola squealed .

I modded. "It was supposed to be yesterday, but Luca had to fly out to Milan for his marketing company so we pushed it to today." 

"Have you given thought of telling mom and dad? Im not trying to force you, but I know mom would be devastated that she wasn't included in this. Especially since she thinks you''re engaged to a billionaire."

'You're right. I've been running away from telling them."

"We should go back to Alabama, bring Luca. To make it look better that you have a bump."

"If he can make it."

"If you can make it for him, he can make it for you."

"Delivery for Luna spears." Jorja walked in holding a bouquet of flowers. Her curly hair framed her flushed cheeks as her eyes awkwardly darted around the room.
