Un-intended: chapter eight

"Jorja." I shook her. "Wake up, someone is pounding on the door."

"Let Lola or Pierce get it. I'm comfy." She groaned.

"Well at least let me go so I can go answer it, love." I sighed.

Jorja groaned before removing her arms. I stood up, pushing my hair out of my face. I put on my slippers before walking out into the living room. Lola was already looking through the peephole. She gasped.

"What? Is everything okay?" I questioned.

"It's mom and dad."

"Mom and dad? What the hell? Oh shit! I need to go hide those pictures and my medicines." I scrambled around while grabbing the stack of sonogram pictures off of the coffee table. "Where'd you put my medicine?"

"It's in the kitchen cabinet, they shouldn't go in there."

I nodded while rushing to my room. I placed the pictures in my underwear drawer. I ran past the mirror before stopping, I slowly walked back. Where the fuck did this small bump come from? I was only six weeks along. I grabbed my robe and quickly put it on before hurrying back out.

"Lulu!" My mother exclaimed while walking towards me.

"Mommy! What brings you two here...unannounced?" I questioned while hugging her.

"We wanted it to be a surprise!" My father joined the hug. "Maybe we should have given you guys a warning, this apartment is a mess."

"Dad." Lola rolled her eyes.

They pulled away.

"Any exciting news? We haven't seen each other in months." My mom walked around.

"Lulu has a lot of exciting news, don't you?" Lola cleared her throat while sitting down on the couch.

"Nothing that I can recall." I furrowed my eyebrows.

"Are you sure, the news you told me is life-changing? It's also filled with abundance. It came in a set of two."

"What are you two on about?" My dad questioned before slowly sitting down on the couch.

"I don't know." I crossed my arms.

"You girls are always in on something," Mom said. She walked towards the kitchen and reached for the cabinet. "I need a snack."

"We don't have any snacks." I rushed to the kitchen.

"Lulu, where are your manners?" My dad questioned.

"If we knew you were coming, we would have gone grocery shopping."

"Well since our presence isn't welcome, we'll go back to our hotel rooms. But we are having dinner tonight, I've booked reservations." My mom crossed her arms.

"Wait mom, before you leave." Lola sighed. "Lulu is-"

"Is married!" I exclaimed.

"What!" Everyone exclaimed.

"I eloped," I said in a low voice.

"You got married?" My dad crossed his arms.

"And you didn't tell us?" My mom scoffed.

"It just happened, last night. I was going to tell you guys, but I was nervous about your reaction. You know, when you know its love, sometimes it's hard to wait...yeah"

"Your mother and I did get married after a month. I want to meet this fella, bring him to dinner."

"Of course!" I exclaimed.
