"We need blood donor. Please arrange O negative blood."

Ishita felt her head growing heavy with each passing second, the voices were falling in her ears but she was too numb to react even. The hospital corridor, the white walls, medicine smells everything were enough to make her nauseous. She felt a knot in her stomach, Ishita hugged her knees close to her chest, her tears never stopped for once. She was not ashamed when her sobs became louder and she let those.

"Ishita. Utho please."

"Raman." Ishita looked at her husband, he was in dishevelled state, his white shirt was stained with blood, half covered with his blazer. His bloodshed eyes were enough to convey his plight, their pain, their loss. "Ye sab kya ho gaya." She cried bitterly cupping his face, her arms flung around his chest.

"Shh....sambhalo khud ko. We cannot give up, right." His own eyes were brimming with tears but what else they can do. The couple was consoling each other when the doctor showed up.

"Sorry! But we cannot save him."

The tears which they were trying to control till now started to flow, the questions started to nag her. How they will face everyone? The police inspectors were standing few feet away, apparently someone has arrived.

Someone they never wished to meet.

"Where is he?" The man stood in front of him was six feet all, wearing a pink turban, the moustache stood proud but the shine he saw years ago appeared lost today. "Let me go Raman. I need to see him."

"He is not there, mortuary is in the basement." He replied in a deadpanned tone but his eyes continued to emit fire.

"You're lying."

"I ain't. Go and repent of your sins." He replied through gritted teeth, still holding his wife through his free hand. Before he could move further, a wardboy came running towards him. "Doctor sahab is calling you in the ICU." The couple looked at each other and rushed inside the ICU without paying heed to other people's stood there.

"What happened doctor?"

"He gained concious."

The couple exchanged a teary look with each other before taking slow steps towards the person they were dying to meet.

There Romi.

"Bh....ai."

He looked in a bad shape, a real bad shape. His head was covered with bandages, eyes were swollen, lower lip bruised. He has never seen him in such distorted condition, Raman heart broke into million pieces seeing his brother fighting for his life.
